I too am grinding my 4th holocron profession, having started a second account solely for this purpose and having no prior professions mastered or even leveled slightly with said character...I have been interested in the theory of jedi so well stated and argued by my fellow posters...my question simply put is this..Has Anyone unlocked Jedi since the last publish (6) in 8 or less mastered professions...please no second hand info..only post if you know factual information...I just want to hear someone say that it is still possible because THEY THEMSELVES have done it...thx so much to everyone for reading this

i believe the only people to have ever done it in under 10 or 12 were the frist batch of unlockers.

as of a half hour ago, i know who started their char after publish6 and unlocked in under 20 professions... thats not under 8, but its better then over 20.. i will not tell you who, server or how many because you asked me not to give info for anyone else.. but thats my knowledge.. 2 people doing it under 20.. should be info to keep you grinding... it is for me, i can grind 20 professions.. anymore i would go insane

How does this weapon switch delay play ANY part in the combat rebalance?

Making BH less useful. We pretty much HAVE to use carbine to land status effects, then switch to scatter pistl for atleast blind and bleed, then eitehr torso or eye spam, or LLC single 2...

So delaying it makes us suck even more.

LOL no I mean I wonder what the REAL reason is. I have yet to see a detailed response from an SOE employee. I am just curious as to the rational behind an unpopular decision.

You want the DEVs, to HONESTLY explain, and give you the real reason behind something they do, expecially something they do that effects Bounty Hunters?

...

hmm...good luck man..

I doubt I could find where the DEV response was posted, but I can give you the gist of it. From what I have been able to tell, the delay is a generic 'equip/unequip' delay (not sure if it's just while using the toolbar or otherwise). It was implemented to help eliminate apotential exploit by Jedi. Jedi are not supposed to be able to use force powers while wearing armor. However, without this delay, Jedi could theoretically create a macro that would read '/unequipArmor /useForcePowerX /equipArmor'. The delay prevents this macro from being a viable combat tactic.

The unfortunate part is that it also affects us non-Jedi. I also don't know if the delay is working as designed; at one point I read that if you equipped weapon Y, fired it once or twice, then equipped weapon Z, you would not notice the delay. However, if you equipped weapon Y then immediately equipped weapon Z, you would notice the delay.

Just posting what I know (or think I know, as I have not seen it in effect on Live yet).

Yeah, that makes sense, and it seems it could also help with the DOT weapons, but like I said in one of the other threads it seems like a one-size-fits-all fix to a diverse set of problems.

Seems like they took the easy way out on this one.
