If im a mcm & can dota cloakedtraget is that a expoit? I know auto follow can be used in any type of game play to keep track

of them, but what about the dots? New to the profession & was accused of using that as a exploit.....

The developers intended that cloaked Jedi were not visible on radar or targetable... I'm guessing working around the fact that /target doesn't work for any reason (applying dots or following) would be classified as an exploit.

Thats just my guess.

weapons have no concept of a cloaked Jedi, as stated by dev. Cloak was intended as a mind trick to make them appear invisible...So AOEs and the like are working as intended on cloaked Jedi.

As for /follow, I dont think its supposed to work like that but I also dont think that bug is game breaking.

the devs said aoe stuff can still hit cloaked jedi on the basis that hte rounds are passing thru the air and hit what they hit, cloaked or not.

since mcm no longer has any area specials except heal (bacta spray), i'd say its not kosher.

If you cannot target an cloaked player, you should not be able to follow them. Logic says that's an exploit of using the /follow command. Improper game mechanics allow that to happen.

DOT'ing a cloaked Jedi? How is this accomplished without being able to target them? I'm not familiar with the MCM DOTs, are they AOE attacks? If so, then they cannot be considered exploits. Multiple developers and CSRs have stated that BH's who use AOE attacks while trying to find a cloaked Jedi are not exploiting because when a Jedi cloaks they are invisible to the eyes, not to a blaster bolt. So if the DOT is an AOE and a cloaked Jedi is in the "blast area" then, no... it cannot be considered an exploit.

If the DOT'ing involves being able to target them and attack them while cloaked, then yes, I would say it is an exploit.

well i think if you apply the DOT before he cloaks its similar to AoE attacks in that attacks dont discriminate. So it should keep on ticking.

if you /follow and still apply states i'd have to say its an exploit

well if you apply DoTs before they cloak then there is no issue, just like their health doesnt atuomatically heal when they cloak. Doesn't the target drop from your screen/radar once they cloak even if you have them targeted? Seems like applying any attacks, unless you get lucky with an AoE, after they cloak would be either impossible or an exploit.

Exploit if you can throw dot's on Jedi while cloaked (i am MCM and donot think you can but never tried0

Not an exploit to throw dot's on the Jedi andhave them tick when jedi cloaks... they are already on and cloak does not remove states.

/follow is an exploit.... however the way around this is to use a combat droid and tell your droid to /follow jedi easy macro

/tellpet follow "jedi name"

/tellpet attack "jedi name"

Droids are robots and thus the mind trick has no effect on them... as such tell droid to followand attack cloaked jedi because as droid they can do both without it exploiting cloaks abilitly.

Then follow you droid which you can see... and if jedi attacks your droid Jedi uncloaks.

Never used the /follow thing. Seeker droids work just fine to find my target. Its not exactly hard to tell where they are with a Probot attacking them either.

As for the dot thing...yeah thats a sploit.

how can you apply dots? You can not target a cloaked jedi.
