My misson was on Dath... Good I thought to myself, no safe houses for him to run to. I arrive at the Science Outpost on Dath and launch my seeker droid. He's about 3000m away from me. At about 500m I take my foods and prepare for battle. I hop on my Barc and hit full throttle. I come up fast and find my mark sitting, Istore my Barc and start my attack. He quickly stands and engages me. He puts up a good effort at first but I'm clearly comming out on top. I have this fight won I thought to myself. He says he cant see my HAM bar moving and starts to run. Yea whatever. Thusbegins my hour long trek chasing him and my ultimate frustration.
He puts on burst run, lucky for me I have Parwan cake so I'm quick in pursuit. Now as you know Dath is very hilly with deep ravines, this made it very difficult for me to targetas I kept getting the "Cannot see target" message. At one point he gains enough distance to hop on his speeder... then I do the same. I gain ground and when I'm close enough, store my speeder, target his bike, and proceed to blow it up. It works,he's back on the run on foot andheading to the Science Outpost. Once there we tangle for a bit, then he starts running around the little divider at the Outpost. Were basically running in circles and I cant do anything because I'm getting"Cannot see target"! He makes a break for the starport terminal and to my surprise shuttles off. What?? How did he manage to shuttle during combat?
I do a findfriend on him and sure he enough he has me on his friends list, looks like hes in Dathspace. I take the time to write a quick findfriend macro that updates every 3 seconds. Much quicker than using the old seekers. After a few minutes he's back on Dath... but this time at the other Starport.... I pursue. Once there I hop on my speeder and I'm off. He's riding in a much slower vehicle this time so I catch up to him and pull my previous maneuver. I destroyed his backup speeder and we fight. Once again when he starts losing he makes a run for the Starport. We arrive again at the Science Outpost.... Didn't we just do this? He's running around the divider "again" ugggh. So I call out my combat Probot to attack him. He makes a run for the terminal and again he shuttles off.. OMG, **edit**!?!
A short time pases and his waypoint updates to Naboo... I have to choose a Starport quicklyso I choose Theed since it's the most popular on my server. I was right, I catch him inside the Starport and we fight but what does he do... you guessed heshuttles off AGAIN, this time to Moniea.. I arrive at Monenia but see hes made a quick hop to Kaadara. I follow only to find that he logged out before I could get to him.
So thats what happened. I still have his mission but I'm frustrated the he was able to shuttle while in combat not once but "three" times. That is ridiculous, and if it had not been for that he would have been a dead Jedi for sure.

Forget running around the divider just stand by the starport terminal.

How could you have called a droid if you were in combat? It is possible to lose aggro on a player if you can avoid being shot at for a period of time. By spamming the "esc" key it's easily done in under 15-20 seconds of not being shot. That could explain the 2 Dathomir escapes... but Theed.... well the only thing that I can think of there is:
It used to be possible to access the starport or ticket taker and get the "launch" screen up. Then hit alt to make it disappear. You could then stay within visual range of the spaceport and shuttle away at any time, regardless of being in combat or not. I've had a few people literlly disappear in mid fight infront of the Theed spaceport (not inside it). I found out later that this was the method used. I tried it out to be sure that I wasn't being fed a story, and it worked. I don't use moves like this, so I'm unsure if it still works or not.

I think if the droid is in deed form in his inventory he can call it. Also, does anyone know if the Jedi can hitch a ride into space if a buddy of his offers him the ride? Maybe that's how he did it. Keno, since we are on the same sever could you PM me the guy's name?

I've had that happened to me before. Engaged a mark only for him to disappear intospacewith his buddies a few times. Eventually he was caught on Lok, with none of his buddies around.

I have shuttled in the middle of combat, one of those annoying bugs where you cant break aggro, even after you win a fight...I can shuttle all day while in combat.
