Has anyone tested this? DOes it really make that much of a difference as far as getting damaged goes?

I don't have any hard stats, but I've certainly seen an improvement in my survivability.
Anyone done any testing and have info?

Yes. I've had difficulty with a BH with good armour, 75% slice. They heal faster than I damage and even with sap on them, they outlast my action/mind (with the CM debuffs on me of course).
Other BHs with the same template I kill in less than a minute.. The armour seems to make a *huge* difference..

I will test it out with numbers in a few days after I get my new armor! I do believe theoretically that it helps around 33% reduction after getting armor broken. I've been hit with saber after AB for around 900+. According to the 65% reduction in defenses and if I had the 75% slice, the damage would possibly be around 600+. That is what I'm hoping to achieve.

i got 8100 energy resist armour, and still noticed a difference when i got it sliced for AB.
Dont have any numbers cuz I dont do testing, just play lol. But I can tell you for sure it is worth getting done.

AB slice is a must... I think it reduces their damage output by about 1/3 to 1/2
