Well, I was looking at buying this armor. I need to know if it will be good forthe BH template I am working on.

(MBH/MD/CM4000)

RIS is fully sliced and the stats are as follows:
Stats:

Kinetic - 4766

Energy - 7060

Elemental - 5913

AB Reduction 75%

Delay Decay Effects 10%

Damage Absorb Chance 1%

I am also accepting input on template. I am not looking to hunt Jedi yet. I amlooking to do NPC's for the loot.

it isnt bad, but you can do a prof change to rifle or pistols deal more damage still keep your heals and use recon armor which has a higher energy resist (pretty much all npc's deal energy damage) and spend alot less on armor for better armor i have ubese/tantell with over 8k energy resist add a psg and your set.

I was affraid of that. And I have been dropping Rifle to get BH

Something like MBH/MR/CM4000 is better?

that is my exact temp. i find i can kill just about any npc with that, i say just about because ive had 2 35.5k dbl elites out of about 600 missions better me with that temp and my armor. had one kill me today actually, but it is very effective against npc's. as far as jedi go, i dont hunt them very often, but i have killed a couple with that temp. just have to learn how to play it right and what works for you.

as far as rifles, if you like it go for it, pistols has a root which helps against jedi and sometimes npc's but its a matter of preference.

Well those are certainly some nice stats, but not really needed for NPCs. Guessing since it's RIS and is 7k E protection that stuff probably costs a pretty penny. With you healing ability you could easily get away with just some regular bone armor with 6k resists (or lower). I personally wouldn't want to subject a fine piece of art like that to NPCs.

Oh btw, AB reduction is very nice for Jedi fights as it's one of their most powerful attacks becuase of the state multiplier. If you really wanted to wear RIS (it does look pretty cool) look for a Delay Decay Effect so there's a higher chance you won't lose condition from a hit.

Well, thats 2 in a row for not buying this armor for NPC's. I am still debating the MD as a second profession. Everything I have heard is that I should be using Rifles, Carbines, or Pistols. Since I have already dropped most all of my Rifles for BH, I might just stick with the MBH/MD while I do my investigation line. If I run into problems, then I can always change MD to MR.
With this being said, can I buy an armor that can be certified by wither MD or MR? I dont really want to buy some for MD, and then change to MR and have to buy a new set. Is it possible to do the investigation line without armor?

I gave you guys the newbie alert earlier. And yes, I have read the how to be BH forums until I cant see straight. So please dont be frustrated with my simple questions

like i said, not every temp is going to fit every person, do the md thing and if you like it stick with it, if not and you liked rifles better go back. the temp you have now will do just fine for you working invest, it will even do well at master but it all depends on what you like in the end. and as far as armor goes, you dont need the best for npc's any kind of energy resist armor of 6000+ is more than adiquate for npc's so dont worry about uber expensive armor invest in some food and a good gun and you'll be ducky.

I wouldnt sped the money on RIS... not for NPC missions... a sliced set of composite will do the trick... RIS is for PVP...sorry should have clarified As to template there is no RIGHT template... mine works for me but you may get owned every time ...it all depends on what your playstyle is...

Hey, the RIS isnt bad but you can get alot better. Even in RIS... the RIS I use is 7200 Energy, 5k Kinetic, 6k Elementals, +350 HP, Armor Break Sliced. As to a template, one that works very well for me is MBH/Mcarbs/CM 4xxx. This template is called the "Krayt Soloing Template" as well as being exptremely effective in PVP vs jedi. SO if you want to be a well rounded BH I would reccomend this template... buy some RIS for jedi hunting but shop around abit there is better out there... and get some decent assault armor for PVE... Reccomend Triton or Summer' or Layla on our server...they use the best resources.

If you are going to do NPC missions. Speaking as a 12 point RIS cert'ed FS Armorsmith, I would go with 7500 Kinetic, 5500 Energy Assault armor and use a PSG. Both armors wouldnt cost nearly as much, and would give you great protection aganst everything.

Don't worry bout it, it's just one persons opinion. You take a poll of the 1000's of BH's across all galaxies you will get different answers.

Your template is fine.
