Thread: Need some serious advice, Please.

Hey all,
I need some advice here, I have no idea what to do.
Approximately 3 weeks ago, I started playing S.W.G. again on Bria. The last time I had logged on before these past three weeks was before Jump to Lightspeed even came out.
Anyways, on to the point. I started a new account and quickly mastered Bounty Hunter and Combat Medic (Within a week). For about a week and a half after that, I was running around like a fool trying to kill Jedi's. I ended up killing a total of four in that timeframe.
Wow, that sucks!
So, about half a week ago I realized that there is no way I am really ready to hunt Jedi yet. My equipment just is not good enough. I have a pretty good High Cap. Scatter pistol with low SAC (397 base DPS/, 71 SAC...930 modified dps with pup), but my armor sucks. I use Composite Armor with 6777 Kinetic / 4777 Energy defense.
Right now I have around 16.6million credits from B.H. N.P.C. missions and selling various items. I suppose I could afford a suit of R.I.S. armor with good stats, but there is no way in hell that I could ADK it so if I continued getting killed by Jedi, it would just get ruined and be worthless.
So, here is my problem. I am too short on money to get good enough equipment to properly play a Bounty Hunter, and I do not really want to drop Bounty Hunter, because I worked hard to get it. My question is, would it be worthwhile for me to drop Bounty Hunter and get a Crafting Profession + Merchant? I was thinking about unlocking a second character, but that takes months that I would rather not spend right now.
If I should drop BH, what is the best Crafting profession to get to make a good amount of money? Afterwards, should I go Bounty Hunter again? I have no clue what to do. As of now, I am extremely bored with SWG though, but I will admit that it is only because I can't do much with my current template due to equipment issues.

Well, let me first start by saying that I suck as a Bounty Hunter. But luckily I'm not gonna give you any real BH advice. What I will say, though, is continue doing NPC missions until you've got the cash to buy an ADK. Then buy the best weapon that your local weaponsmith can make, whichever kind you like. ADK that. Also, try to get an armorsmith to make you a full set of energy layered battle armor (Padded, Marauder, Bone, Kashyyykian Black Mountain, Ithorian Defender, RIS (Quest), Rebel Battle (Factional), Stormtrooper (Factional)), How much PVP experience do you have? Before SWG, I'd had very little PVP experience. So I'd duel whenever I could, to learn what works and what doesn't for me.
I personally wouldn't drop any BH skills to go for merchant. However, if you feel you need to dropsome BH skills, I'd suggest anything except the Investigation line. Not because it gives you anything spectacular mod-wise, but because it's such a pain in the ace to grind.
Don't be discouraged by being unable to kill many Jedi. Use the fights as learning experiences. You'll improve.

no ones told you this yet obviously, MBH are the best money makers in the game atm, do npc misions and make millions.
rember this finishing your bh temp at the final step its the first step to becoming a jedi death ray

While you can't get rich overnight, unless you loot some sweet SEAs to sell on the forums. You could get some mineral harvesters, get an Artisan to locate a high quality resource for you and mine, mine , mine. Selling top quality resources is a sure way to generate alot of income if you have the patience to work at it. This income in addition to creds from runnnig BH npc missions should get your bank account looking nice.
