Thread: MBH MCM and what else ?

I used to be MBH MRM CM4000 . But now im wondering about MBH MCM and one weapon.


i have FS ranged speed 3 ( +9 )


What do u guys sugest ? pistol ? carbine ? rifle ?

well carbines has nothign useful to add to BH maybe cept the line with sctter shot..

4xxx rifles has insane more damage

xxx4 pistols give root

everyhting else seems mainly uslesss...

I tried MBH / MCM - debuffs and DOTs will not always stick and if they don't stick specially when you are at point blank with a Jedi...youre toast.


I am MBH / MRM / Pistol 0003 / Medic 0020

Ha, I was just going to start a thread regarding should I drop MCM and get MRM, but keep the healing


I like MCM, and its good fun, but its very hard to do any decent damage in PVP anymore. Rifleman looks like a powerhouse profession with the damage it inflicts.


At the moment, all I do is paraylse, debuff, DoT run and shoot, and hope my heals outweigh the damage inflicted on me. Combat usually lasts ages as I only usually hit about 30% of my shots, and the damage is still minimal.



What do other people think? Rifles or Combat Medic


At the moment my template is MBH,MCM Carbs x-4-x-x


I am thinking of going MBH,MRM, CM 4-x-x-x

*Taken from another thread* MBH / MRM / Pistol 0003 / Medic 0020 givesthe most damaging offense of aMRMcombined with thestopping shot of a Pistoler and the non-stop heals of a Medic. This is the most famous of all the BH template to hunt Jedi on my server. We have the most success rate of killing a Jedi with this template.

Believe me I tried to respec to MBH / MCM several times and it's not just a PvP template.

Seems MBH/MRifle/CM4000 is the FOTM and the MBH/MRifle/Pistol 0003/Medic 0020 is the next most popular, MBH/MCM is good but you're going to lack some weapon speed.

MBH / MCM / Pis xxx4


This is mine.


It works well but has to be played right,


Put on stat effects, like fire etc. after shock, and modifiers:


Modify with all the cm and bh modifiers. ie confusion,eyeshot, and cm stuff.


ranged shot - aimed shot, macro for damage (to save action) when firing at distance.


when close duel stance, then macro: dive-roll-kipup (50 def bonus each) so with duel 400 def bonus. then run re-root knock down reapply stat modifires, then ranged aimed macro at distance till modifiers wear off.


Rinse and repeat

also might go Pis x2x1 to get warning in the mix for added modifired to dots

I run two mbh. Mal is rifles, Cy is mcm/pistols. I have to say, when fighting jedi with Mal I feel almost naked without Cy's mcm abilities. And I've played Mal well over 18 months and had Cy for about 6. The control mcm gives you over the fight is very hard to give up once you've truly learned how to play a mcm/bh
well, you just have so many different ways to control your mark.


Tho it is nice incapping a paddy in 2-3 shots with Mal .......

Very very wrong. Carbines 0400. Improved leg shot, the single most damaging attack in the entire game, apart from adv sniper, which is not practical. Plus, imp leg is on a diff timer to adv crit, so you can repeatedly spam the two attacks for insane damage rates with a doc speed buff and a low SAC weapon.


I personally prefer mbh/mcm/pistols 0004. The effects will always stick if you use good enhancers, apart from perhaps the dots. The root is just too useful at keeping tough jedi at arms length, and at stopping cowardly jedi from their /forcecoward retreats. Just use your weapon as a control mechanism really, for kd/root/blind/dizzy/stun/bleed effects, and allow the combination of imp traumatise, and good ticking dot enhancers to drain their mind to zilch on a full temp. If you have a relatively fast low SAC pistol then slap in a few adv crit/torso shot one two combos (diff cooldowns) to increase your damage rate, and therefore their heal (mind loss : )))) rate.


Mrifles just isnt a lot of use vs a defender heavy full temp. I have an adv laser with 1184 max damage unpupped, the possible cap for damage for a rifle in swg is 1185, hence this is as good as a rifle can ever possibly get, pupped with a 32% damage pup it goes to 1351, maxed on CA/AA for ranged speed/acc, and hitting an mdef with adv crit and force armour I do approx 250 actual points of damage, which infusion can cope with alone. Mrifles is awesome on a non defender heavy jedi, cos you can slap them down for a lot of damage very fast, but it cannot cope with good defenders really.


The mcm / pistol root option has what can beat ALL jedi templates in the end, true staying power, with heals, imp paralyse, imp electrodrain, and a root. As long as you have a well stocked mind pool (i use mandowine/boosterblue/v. canape combo for mind regen) you can beat pretty much most full temp jedi if played right, and whats more they REALLY hate fighting you, and warn all their friends about you when you show up for the next one, which always adds to the fun : )
