Thread: Droids should not be effected by jedi mind tricks!!

Ok, for role playing purposes, cloak is somewhat ok as they can just make themselves disapear by effecting our minds to give the illusion that they went poof. This however should have NO effect on droids. they aren't organics, they aren't really weak minded. BH's should be able to build a device to give to DE's so that they can put it into seekers to track jedi even when cloaked. Or pull out a droid and tell it scan. It emits an beam around the area and if the jedi is still in range the radar would bleep him. What do you guys think?

I like the idea to a point. Makes it so that cloak is only good vrs Jedi .

I think it should be able to be put in a bomb droid instead of all power so momb droid can run in and blow up on jedi letting you attack. Doubt it will happen though.

afaik you can still track a cloaked jedi with a droid.

It's like the droid telling you the target is right in front of you.. Your looking around... thinking wt-f... this droid is busted...

like the cloak description says, we're fooling your mind into not seeing us. we're not actually "cloaked" per say... I've been tracked by bh for hours waiting for me to uncloak.. quite funny, sittin back with a beer watchin family guy.

Very true.

I tracked the only mission I got in 2 hours of pulling missions to mos eisley. There was a jedi battle going on and my target was cloaked trying to escape. He stood there cloaked for 20 mins waiting for a chance to get intot he starport and I just stood there watching my droid update. There was nothing there but a waypoint halo!!!!!! But I knew what was going on so I waited. Eventually he decloaked and made a run for the starship terminals. He got there just in time to get a blast from my LLC. We fought for about 3 mins before the other imp jedi in the area decided he was the next target in this battle. Too bad for him he ended up on the bad side of my KD/Critical shot combo amidst the chokes and armor breaks from the jedi assualt squad. Needless to say I was lucky with this one and he went down without too much trouble. Most full templates take longer. But they do eventually go down You can hide but you cant RUN!!!!

Neither seekers nor bomb droids are fooled by cloak. Whether your bomb droid will be useful depends on exactly how it is programmed.

problem with force cloak is that it doesnt use much force power unless your in a city around alot of players and npcs. Same problem with force run as well, just uses so little force power and they can run out of a fight and then back into a fight a few minutes later after they gotten some force power back.

force run was a tactic used to escape in episode one, u didnt see the jedi force running all the time becuase it was a power that could not be sustained.

huh? wait a min...the other day i grouped up with a bunch of other people and we went overt looking for rebs...when we were trying to figure out where some overt rebs would be , we were all standing by the starship terminal in an NPC city on naboo (forgot which one), when all of a sudden i get ganked by a cloaked overt reb jedi!!. he hits me because im the only level 71 out of a group of level 80s and unbuffed...what a cheap shot.

anyways how could he have maintained cloak for that long with all those npcs around?

there are some sweet spots, and the npcs have to be within a certain range to effect the drain. Channel helps keep it up too, but when I'm runnin around doin my errands it's not uncommon for me to channel myself well below 1k health, a couple good area shots would do me in pretty good
