Hey,
I've just recently started a TKA, and I was thinking I'd go with somethinglike TKM/Doctor 4000andeither Master Pikeman or Master Swordsman. I'd prefer Pikeman; the only reason I'mstill unsure is becauseI don't know how importantArmour Break is, and I need the double mastery for CL80.I'd havegone totheSwordsman board, but I thought Imight get a betteranswer here. So:
- What's the difference between Armour Break and Advanced Armour Break (i.e. duration, estimated % value of armour penalty, etc)? Is it even worth using basic AB?
- I figure AB ismostly not great in PVP in generalbecause of the ridiculously high AB resist on sliced armour, yeah?- Could I reasonably expect to solo something like a krayt (not a grand or anancient) without AB?
If you've got anything else on ABto add go ahead. Cheers

Swordsman - mainly because of the high offensiveness. Msm and Mtk with Doc 4/0/0/0 is probs one of the best Melee temps IMO. But other people would probably differ. Armour break is very useful but not worth losing out on Offense. Anyway TKM had and armourbreak worth usin. As for the PvP part - every little helps.

I've done both pikeman and swordsman with TKM, and I prefer Swordsman. My current template is TKM, MSword, 4/0/0/0 Doc. Great healing ability, Excellent KD with legsweep, Power Attack with swordsman is great, all that tied in with Improved COB makes you an excellent tank. You really can't be a *solo* character against higher level stuff, but you sure can tank them easily while applying armorbreak to allow your buddies to decimate the target.

You dont need double melee.I am MTKA doc 4/0/4/4 swordsman 0/1/4/4. This gives you armor break, general melee acc. buffs and a better taunt. To be CL 80 you need 12050000 xp (Combat is worth 3). Only bad thing is full mitigration on armor.

Yeah, I know -what I should've said was, I can't be CL80 and have doc, TK, pike and swords xx3xall at once.
I'm notreally worried about the raw damage specials, since Power Attack's use is limited by its prohibitive action cost and warmup period, and without it there's only something likea 4% overall difference between the damage output ofpike and sword attacks. It's mostly just AB; I'm trying to figure outroughly how much and whetherhaving only basic AB versus advanced AB will hamstring me.

Hey, as a bit of risk to us...why doesn't Armour break really break armour?
e.g. cannot use armour until repaired by an armoursmith? as an ex armoursmith that would be good cos they got screwed on CU.
Then we hunt a Jedi and he dooes lets say armourbreak and a random peice of armour gets disabled (but remains on) so lets say its body and if he hits the body afterwards we get full damage.
I would like this, it would add some cost/risk vs investment risk to hunting.

I really don't want my armor that cost 1.5 mil to break on me with a single skill... which can be spammed.

Sure,so you use armor break, 2 light saber shot and win. What do you need an"I win" button? You choose to be a jedi, you know that bh can hunt.As it has been said jedi are 1.5 much power than other classes, you have risk/reward problem.
