The past couple of days I've been playing between 2 am and 4 am and have been randomly drawing missions on the same Jedi. It happened twice. Yesterday I got a mission ona Rebel Jedi. I killed him. Went back to the terminals, got another random mission on a Rebel Jedi. Tracked him down ... it was the same Jedi! I didn't attack because he was nice the first time. I dropped the mission. Went back to the terminals and got two missions on different Jedi. Killed those Jedi. The next one was the SAME jedi again -- 3 times in a row! I told him he must be the unluckiest Jedi on the server and dropped the mission. He even tipped me 300k because he was thankful I didn't attack him the other two times.
Now today I decided to hunt Imperial Jedi. Got a mission on one. Attacked him. He killed me, but was an a** about it. I went back to the terms and picked another random Imperial Jedi. Tracked him down and it was the SAME jedi again. Since he was an a** the first time I attacked him anyways. He killed me again (both times due to KD bugs/lag -- not making up excuses, but rather that is actually what happened ... both times he got 10 seconds of free swings). I cloned. Got a couple more Imperial Jedi missions. Different. The next one I got was on the SAME Jedi again. I decided not to attack him again because him and the people with him accused me of exploiting the terminals the second time and I didn't want them to continue accusing me of those lies.
Now, after I drop this guy's mission I go back to the terminals, pull another Imperial jedi mission. Turns out that this Jedi was one of the Jedi in his group. The stupid exploit accusations continue. They say I'm griefing their group by selecting the same Jedi ... no matter how much I tell them how the terminals work, they still accuse me.
These accusations of exploiting the terminals is really irritating me. The best reason I can come up with for why this is happening is because it's 4 am and there aren't many Imperial jedi who have high visibility online at these late hours. These same Jedi also happen to be the only Imperial Jedi monkeying around Theed Starports with their sabers.
I was wondering if any other bounty hunters have also experienced getting multiple missions on same jedi after a successful/unsuccessful mission?
And if there is some kind of terminal exploit that allows bounty hunters to select specific Jedi, how come no one has reported it to the Devs?

its because there arnt many other jedi online, it only shows onlines ones and so the chance of his mission turning up is greatly increased

I've had the same problem playing at 8-10 PM when it's more populated. I was always pulling the 1st mission on the 1st page. I got the same jedi 5 times in less than 2 weeks. I've started refreshing a couple of pages before picking a mission. I'll see how soon I get his mission again.

Since the BH Term Changes, I have pulled about 50-60 missions, and I have had some groups of Jedi that I pull frequently. There are 3 Jedi in particular that I seem to keep pulling.
Pre-Pub 20 I would really try not to hunt the same Jedi twice, ever.
Post Pub 20, it is all random and therefore I will hunt the name that the terminal gives me.
Those 3 Jedi are not happy that I keep showing up, but they keep getting vis . . . .! ! !

I think it has something to do with how it used to be in the old system too. I remember pulling the same name all the time in the front page over and over before they changed the terms. So I think it has something to do with the level of visibility also.

yes, having a limited number of people on at one time is a reason, but i find that if i keep the mission, open the terminal and then drop the mission it doesn't repeat. maybe i am just not picking the right one. these days i get missions for AFK'ers inside private cantinas so its more of a waste. i only keep missions for jebi on grinding planets..dant..tat. or where there is pvp going on. no more dath, cor, nab. you can get lucky and catch them afk in aakuan champ cave, or ryyatt trail. i got one in myydril caves on his way to grab NK, they killed all the spiders and i (luckily grabbed same instance) ran right up, let him aggro all the spiders and bam. down he goes. i think they respect you a little more when you go out of your way to get to them. DWB..had many conversations w/jedi hiding inside cloaked...we all love those. anywho, all i get are full templates these days. /shrug

I have the SAME BH that keeps getting my missions by random chance, and we know each other enough to not want to duel. VERY annoying, lol. And I've had a tell from another that said they're not taking my mission again since I'm a full template, in migration though.
I mentioned it before, there does seem to be a problem with the randomness, becuase on Ahazi, I know there are more Jedi online and much more active than me.

We used to think that too, but on Ahazi at any given time, we have over 50 Jedi online cloaked and overt killing anything that moves wondering where the BHers are, lol.
I, I just do some simple looting and krayt hunting and have had 6 show up in 24hr span, 8 if you count the one that got me 3 times in a row. Still haven't been killed in almost 5 months (knocking on wood).
Ok, not sure how many really cloaked, but I have alot of Jedi on friends list, we're never alone. No, I am not proactive like others are.

I think that is the best explanation.

Thanks for all the input. It's just that all these allegations that I know a magic exploit for the terminals to display namesare really, really starting to get under my skin. It's like being wrongfully accused of a crime I did not commit.

Tell them you're an open book and to fire away with the CSR's. It'll waste their time and not yours.

The new rules are going to lower the pool of jedi (only those jedi online) and therefore the probability that you will draw the same jedi is much higher.
The probability that two BHs will pull the same (online) jedi's bounty is pretty high too considering the number of online BHs. Kaadara is crawling with BHs. Reminds me of Corolag in the old days.
