Thread: Speed powerup question

Given that specials have timers that seem all of their own, is there a point to having a speed power up?

I ask because I see a lot of guns with base DPS over 500, and the speed under one second. To my knowledge, a gun can not fire faster than once per second and specials have their own timers, so what is the point?

The point is you can alternate specials. Without a PU you will need a buff to hit the speed cap (which is hitting a special once a second)

Of course you could always macro spam the same special but I think everyone can agree that is wrong and not an intended game design.
