Well, I took some of the advise from you all from the others post here on how to kill a jedi:

Well, I did much better than I have in the past but for some reason,... I still can not get thier health down below half. I am using a t21 rifle with a power up on it,.. gives me about 1108 max damage with a sppen of 7.5. I use that till my action drops to about half and then I turn to my 820 scatter pistol. I am doing bleed, then kd,... and then crit shots and advance head shots and this still was not working.. last night I faught this jedi for about 30 mins and was getting now where. I did use a boom droid a few times but still didn't really help all that much. I know it must be something I am doing because most of you do very well on jedi's and I guess I am reaching out to you all.

So... Anyother ideas would be great...

My temp. is as follows:

MBH, MR, Medic: 0,0,4,0 and 2,0,0,0 Combat Medic. and 2,2,1,2 in combat prowess.

Also, should I drop master rifles to pick up the rest of 4,0,0,0 in comabt medic?

Thanks all...

You definately want the healing of 4xxx CM......wheather you totally drop rifles for MCM is up to you, but it's a good idea =)

Try waiting for an opportune time to attack the Jedi, remember you pick the fight not him. (Not sure if you were doing this) Nailing him at half health or right after a lair if he's grinding is not dishonorable.....you are a BH

If you havn't already, throw a sac pup on ur rifle......it'll keep that action up. Use ur foods.......i normally stuck with Vasarian brandy, neutron pixie and had synthsteak on my tool bar for the special occasion.

Hope some of this helps......I apologize if you already knew some of it.

Nope, this will help me... I will look for some food tonight and get some.. So, I should drop MR then? I have been holding back on that because of the t21 rifle, I am not sure if I need MR to use t21 or not,.. but thats why because as of right now, thats the gun I have that does a lot of damage it seems like,.. I have a advanced lazer rifle that is nice too but it doesn't seem to have the damage the t21 has.

What else do you all think? Drop MR?

If you drop MR you will not be able to use the T-21

What foods are you currently using?

Well, to tell you the truth, I don't use any foods right now but I will start tonight, sounds like it might help me out a bit. What should I get besides what the other posted said to use?

Withough reading through entire post....seen that "not getting anywhere" and wanted to comment.

DUDE!!! You have no idea what a 30 minute fight does to a Jedi. I bet one more attack or 2 more minutes and he would have been worm food!

As for attacks, I'll express what I see the better ones use on me:

Sniper shot - have been hit for 2447 !!!

Underhand - KD right before the Sniper shot which means you have to root or snare then go prone first...can be tricky.

The most damaging attacks aren't always the best. The trick is sticking the Jedi with fast dmg, not most dmg. The reason is it will cause them, as with even BH's, to go into a healing frenzy which will soak up their action and Mind pools.

I have a fc of 27 on my saber which means that I can last about 20-40 minutes agasint one player depending on events. I always have Holocrons which replenish my force 100% although I can olny use one once per 24 hours. Also, get your hands on a Focus Crystal which is a buff to Hitpoints. (if you're on Bria hit me up when/if you need help with the mission)

Keep up the good work and good luck. If you lasted 30 minutes agasint a Jedi you are in the right direction.

Yup this is your biggest problem. If you took the right kind of foods, you will not only last longer then 30mins in a fight, but you will take them down alot quicker.

As far as recommending foods, it all depends on what you want to take. Pikatta pie adds 50 to dodge, (this is extremely useful for the defensive) You may want to add crispic it adds to your accuracy. Blob candy is good for acton regen, but then you will need to take something for your mind. This past friday feature is definatly something you want to read. It is about foods. Clicky

Re: Killen a jedi... Still haven some problems...

Read this, and feel free to copy/paste it to word or something before the ProJedi moderators delete it again. Credit goes to Ajianna

Format Fix attempt, , copying from Word to here really borks the formatting I see,

I wanted to write this guide to help other bounty hunters kill fully templated jedi. These jedi appear on the terminals with bounties
between 221k-226k. My methods are not the only way to kill high level jedi but they are the most successful that I have found. I encourage
you to test out the techniques mentioned below and adapt them to suit your style of hunting. If you think I've made a mistake then speak
up - I'm far from perfect! I'm a bounty hunter from Farstar. In the 9 months that i've been playing i've killed 100 jedi. My pvp rating has

climbed to 1726 solely through jedi hunting so I feel I'm qualified to write this. I keep screenshots of all my kills. Please excuse my slow

image hosting as they are all hosted on my friends webserver that only has 16kb/s of upload bandwidth.

Theory:

Early in combat upgrade testing it became apparent that there were two ways of beating jedi. One was to surprise them by alpha striking
with a large amount of damage in a short period of time, while the other was to try and run them out of mind and / or force. I believe
the alpha strike is the correct strategy to employ because when you attempt to wear a jedi down you are being reactive rather than
proactive. By wearing them down you are allowing them to root you and forcerun / cloak away to hide in a safehouse. I've tried many
templates and I haven't been able to beat a good jedi in a 1 vs 1 fight by wearing them down. Jedi with master lightsaber and a good
pre CU (combat upgrade) saber force you into a healing loop and eventually you run out of mind. Long extended fights also minimise
your advantage of first strike.

Template:

Master Bounty Hunter: Advanced critical shot, a knockdown and the best defensive mods + speed / accuracy mods in the game
Master Rifleman: Rifles do the greatest damage in the game per shot, and Rifleman has cover and advanced sniper shot
Pistoleer 0-0-0-3: Stopping Shot is essential to stop your mark running away or to buy you time.
Medic 0-2-0-0: Enough healing to stand and fight when your alpha strike fails.
Marksman 4-4-0-4: A prerequisite
Scout 4-0-0-0: A prerequisite

Equipment:

As you can see in this this screenshot my gear is exceptionally good. You won't need perfect gear to kill finished templates, but you'll
want to obtain the best gear you can afford. I'm quite obsessive so everything needs to be perfect. I still need a +10 melee defence AA
to complete my suit but I am currently very short of credits. Also - I know skillmods cap at +25 for each mod, but I built the suit over time

and ended up duplicating many mods.

Rifle:

A damage capped rifle with low SAC is essential. T21's and advanced laser rifles cap at 1184 damage, or 1183 if you slice them up to the
cap. To hit the cap you will need at least 170 max krayt tissues. Talk to your weaponsmith about this. When you get a weapon made, it
is important to max damage followed by SAC. Speed is irrelevant, because doctor buffs and luilris mushroom pie allow you to spam attacks
every second. I can fire ranged shot once every second because Luilris pie and Doctor speed buffs significantly shorten the cooldown of
the shot. This combination of Luilris pie and Adrenal boost also allows me to use a 33% damage powerup with a 9% speed penalty.

My advanced laser rifle does similar damage through a psg as a kinetic damage fallan hyper rifle. A damage capped T21 is the better choice
as only half my marks seem to wear psgs. However if you are on a budget, use a Fallan Hyper Rifle or LD-1 Rifle. These are both quest
rewards available on Kashyyyk. A rare gold LD-1 rifle has also been discovered. I haven't had a chance to test this out, but I'm going
to stick with my T21 as it has lower SAC.

The only difference between a T21 and an avanced laser rifle is that the T21 has slightly higher minimum damage and uses 6 krayt tissues
instead of 4. I opted for an advanced laser rifle because I decided the 2-3 extra damage wasn't worth the expense.

Armour:

Get armour with at least 7000 energy resistance. A health bonus from nightsister shards is nice but not essential. You should slice all
your armour pieces against armour break as almost all jedi use this skill. My armour has 75% armour break reduction, which means I only
take 25% more damage when hit with armour break.

Obtain some armour boots and gloves created before the combat upgrade and place skill enhancing attachments in them. Once you have 4 mods
in the boots or gloves, you can refit the armour to get three additional sockets. I have done this to my Tantel boots.

Cybernetic arms are useless. A good jedi will close into melee range quite easily by hiding behind terrain and then rooting you. There are
very few open flat areas in the game where you can make good use of these arms. Master lightsaber jedi with post CU pearls are currently
hitting for about 2.5k damage before armour by knocking you down and using saber power attack. If this damage hits your unprotected arm
you will die very quickly.

Skilltapes / BE clothing:

The following skill modifiers are essential

+25 Healing Efficiency: this will allow you to do a 700 point bacta toss, and a 900 point bacta shot with medic 0-2-0-0.
+25 Rifle Accuracy: every little bit will help you hit your target and do more damage.
+25 General Ranged Accuracy: every little bit will help you hit your target and do more damage.
The following skill modifiers are useful

+25 Terrain Negotiation: this will help you crawl faster towards your mark while in cover
+25 Group Terrain Negotiation: group with your pet and you will crawl faster. Leave your pet in a corner of the starport on the same planet.
+25 Rifle defence: Increases your chance of dodging attacks and taking less damage.
+25 Melee defence: Increases your chance of dodging attacks and taking less damage

+25 Rifle Speed: This isn't that important, but it is useful when your doctor buffs / luilris pie ends.
+25 General Ranged Speed: This isn't that important, but it is useful when your doctor buffs / luilris pie ends.

Other:

Get a health buff crystal and use it whenever your initial alpha strike fails. The extra 2000 health makes it a lot harder for a jedi to
alpha strike you with his knockdown / powerattack / headhit / bodyhit combo.

Get a droid engineer to make you some R3 bomb droids. I use +57 det power bomb droids that sell for about 50k each. These droids will do
between 1.2-1.8k damage to a knocked down jedi and are a great tool for frontloading damage in cities. I prefer to use a bomb droid over
snipershot where possible as you can hit with an attack in the same second the bomb droid goes off.

Food / Drink:

You can find all the food / drink / buffs I use in this screenshot.

I take the three artisan foods (blob candy, spiced tea, kanali wafers) at the bounty hunter terminal to allow my stomach to digest it before
the fight. Right before I attack I use my luilris mushroom pie and booster blue. The luilris is a Kashyyyk quest reward that adds +39 combat speed
and +100 action regen. This action regen stacks with the regen from the blob candy. Luilris pie is essential to this template as it allows
you to frontload more damage in a short time. Unfortunately luilris pie is expensive as people are starting to realise how good it is.
I'm paying 750k for a 20 use stack on Farstar I use booster blue instead of neutron pixie because mind is used for healing in a long drawn

out fight. When the fight starts I will drink deuterium pyro to boost my initial alpha strike. If the fight goes for a long time I switch to crispic
to leave more stomach space for ruby bilel. I take exo-protien wafers to reduce the damage my mark does when he closes in on me.

Eat a parwan nutricake and you will start burstrunning. When the burstrun ends, you can then eat another parwan or use your normal burst run.
This allows you to chain burstruns together by eating multiple parwans and then adding a normal burstrun on the end. This is useful if your
mark closes in during a fight. Travel biscuits speed up your crawl speed. I use these when sneaking up on marks from outside radar range

using /cover.

Doctor Buffs:

These are essential. My jedi alt is a master medic / master doctor with a +25 augmentation efficiency AA. Augmentation bio clothes are
currently broken, so you will need to get +25 points using skill enhancing attachments (SEAs). As you can see in the screenshot, my adrenal
boost lasts for 17 minutes - enough time to buff up at Kaaldra and kill my mark.

Macros / Interface:

Because I need to use a lot of different attacks in combat I use a lot of macros to clear unnecessary icons from my toolbar. I have macros
for calling my swoop, mounting, dismounting, burstrunning, going prone and standing that I bind to the number pad of my keyboard. I set my
toolbars up as shown.

There is currently a bug where the game thinks you're dizzy and prevents you from mounting a swoop. This can be fixed by adding /dizzyrecover
to the macro used to mount your swoop.

bomb droid macro:

/tellpet followtar;
/pause 0.1;
/tar (bob);
/pause 0.1;
/detonate;
/pause 0.1;
/tar (jediname);
/pause 0.1;
/tellpet followtar;
Note: my droid is named 'bob' and I teach my droid that follow other = 'followtar'. While I wait for my Aarakyd to give me a planet I edit the
macro and replace (jediname) with the name of my mark.

friend macro:

/addfriend (jediname)
/pause 0.5;
/findfriend (jediname)
/pause 0.5; /removefriend (jediname)
this macro is used to keep track of your mark. You can tell if he is still online and recieve a waypoint to his location if he makes the mistake
of adding you to his friends list.

Note:

Bekah has just pointed out that you don't need to have a mark on your friends list to do a findfriend. This macro is only useful to check
if your target remains online while you are hunting them. I might write a new macro that adds and removes the mark every 2-3 minutes to check
if they are still online.

store swoop:

/ui action toolbarPane05;
/ui action toolbarSlot11;
/ui action toolbarPane00
Eat booster blue / luilris pie:

/ui action toolbarPane05;
/ui action toolbarSlot13;
/ui action toolbarSlot14;
/ui action toolbarPane00
dismount macro:

/dismount
mount macro:

/dizzyrecovery
/mount
prone:

/prone
stand:

/stand
burstrun:

/burstrun

This is the most important part of any hunt. No matter how good your equipment is, if you simply run up and start shooting at your mark you will
lose very quickly. I break my hunt down into three parts:

1. Planning
2. Initial Attack
3. Drawn Out Fight

1. Planning:

When I arrive on the same planet as my mark I quickly tab through nearby aggros to see if my mark is at the same starport. If my mark is nearby
and the starport is busy I will often go out of sight of my mark, call my droid and initiate a surprise attack. Do not do this if there are not many people

nearby or the jedi saw you load in. You beat jedi by frontloading damage and you want them to be unaware of your presence, as they will take longer

to recover from the surprise. A jedi who is running an aura / infusion macro is a lot harder to surprise at a starport, but it is still possible. If your mark

is not at the starport, send a seeker to 'find and track target' and waypoint their last known position by looking at your radar and putting in the last known

co-ordinates as a new waypoint. Wait for the seeker to return to you and note the new position. Bring up the POIs on your map and work out what your

mark is doing.

if your mark is.....
1. in a large city such as coronet or theed: shuttle there and plan a bomb droid strike.
2. at a POI or is somewhere like the nightsister stronghold: set up a bomb droid ambush at a nearby starport or try #3.
3. in the wild or in a player city: drive to within 280m of his position and creep in using cover.

Never initiate combat with less than a minute on your doctor speed buff or no buff. The buff makes you insanely fast and it is hard to frontload enough

damage without it. Return to Kaaldra and rebuff before continuing with your hunt.

Never shuttle into the same city as your mark. Only do this when there are lots of other players at the destination city. If you shuttle into a
player city and your mark is there he will probably think you are a bounty hunter, become more alert and start his defensive macros.

2. The Initial Attack:

This is the first 15 seconds of combat with your mark. Most of my marks die in the initial alpha strike.

Bomb droid Ambush / Strike:

Ambushes can be set near mission terminals / JTL terminals / shuttleport ticket terminals. You can hide the droid inside statues / walls by telling
it to follow you then telling it to stay when it is inside the wall or pillar. Once you have done this either go into cover near the terminal or
hide in a nearby building. Your mark will not see you if you are inside a building when he comes into range unless he enters your building or saw
you go in. I prefer to hide in buildings because I can freely send more seeker droids up without being seen. If you do choose to use cover, put
yourself in a position where people or npcs will not run over you. Keep sending up seeker droids and abandon the ambush if your mark isn't behaving
as you expected or your doctor speed buff runs out.

It is also possible to set up bomb droid ambushes outside caves by calling your droid, telling him to follow a mob in the cave and stopping him near
the entry. You can then go into cover outside the cave. If you do this, you cannot detonate a bomb droid while prone so you will have to choose
between starting combat with a bomb droid or a snipershot. The bomb droid can allways be sent in later once you stand

When your mark arrives, wait till he goes to use the terminal. As he gets near it, start your bomb droid detonation macro, eat your food and open
fire with a knockdown followed by alternating advanced critical shots / improved headshots. If your alpha strike is successful, your mark will drop
within the first 15 seconds of combat. If he is alert and manages to heal and stabilise, start planning for a drawn out fight. If your alpha strike
fails you've made a mistake, your mark is now aware and is now intent on chopping you into sushi.

In big cities, you won't need to worry about setting an ambush. Simply call the droid somewhere that isn't visible to your mark and attack.

Using Cover:

If your mark is in the wild or at a player city, drive to within 280m of his location, go prone in a quiet area and use /cover. Send up a seeker
right before you do this to get updates on your mark's position. Once in cover, unequip your weapon, eat your travel biscuits and crawl into range
of your mark, being careful to avoid nearby mobs / npcs / players. If your mark is inside a house, sit in cover 60m or so away from the doorstep
in an area where people aren't likely to find you. If your mark is attacking a lair, crawl into range and ensure you have LOS, then wait.

You want to pounce when your mark is at his weakest. This is usually when he is taking a lot of damage, or near the end of the lair when his
force / mind will be low. Eat your food, take a deuterium pyro and use advanced aim. You will become visible on radar once advanced aim has w
armed up, so follow it with an underhand shot and an advanced snipershot, then alternate between advanced critical / improved headshot until
your mark dies. If you run out of action, or your mark rushes you prepare for a long fight.

3.The Long Fight:

If you get drawn into a long fight, you're probably going to die. Use your health crystal as soon as possible. If you are prone, stand up and
get some distance between you and your mark. You can unequip your weapon to run faster. Once you have some distance, spam ranged shots as your
action slowly regens. This will force your mark to use force and mind healing himself. If your mark closes on you, use duelist stance followed
by a knockdown / root / advanced startle shot. Use exoprotein wafers to reduce the damage your mark is doing and use bacta shot and stims while
running around. Only use bacta toss at range because it roots you. keep spamming ranged shots when your mark is not hitting you.

Once your action bar has recharged, get some distance on your mark and try to alpha strike again. You may catch him by surprise and get a kill.

If your mark is experienced he / she will recover in time, so continue kiting.

If your marks saber is too good, root him, unequip your weapon and use parawan nutricake to get away and call a swoop. If your mark is better
than you, it is better to run away and drop the mission than die a warriors death. You should also consider running if your buffs run out.

It is possible to call a second bomb droid in a drawn out fight by rooting your mark then running out of range and hitting escape to leave combat.
Call your droid and keep running until he appears. If you are in a city the droid will appear instantly. Allow your mark to catch up, then hit
your bomb droid macro and alphastrike. If your mark is stupid, this may work.

If your mark runs unequip your weapon and chase after him. Use root / knockdown / snare to stop him fleeing. If he leaves combat call your swoop
and tear after him. If your mark jumps planet it is normally not worth following. He / she will be alert so another surprise attack is out of
the question. Better to call it a day and move on to the next victim.

If you lose or your mark gets away, reflect on what you've done wrong and don't make the same mistake again. When I die, its because I've done
something stupid like running into a krayt, forgetting food or messing up a surprise attack. Learn from your mistakes, and become a good bounty
hunter

Summary:

Get all your armour sliced with a 75% armour break reduction slice..
Acquire some luilris pie.
Never enter combat without doctor buffs.
Learn how to carry out surprise attacks using bomb droids or sniper attacks from cover.
You will rarely win drawn out fights, so don't be afraid to run away.
If you are unsuccessful, think about why and modify your tactics to suit.
Don't be afraid to try new things. Test my strategies and improve on them.
Thanks for reading,
