Thread: To MBH, MCM, Pistol 0004 players out there.....

Could you guys post the stats on your pistols or give me a clicky of your pistols?

Also a few questions:

1 - With having Pistols 0004 and the lower accuracy from it, do you find yourself missing alot against jedi and howdo you cope with this? Base accuracy for this template is: 140 ....so do you just keep popping pyro throughout the fight?

2 - When is it a good time to root the jedi? Do you start out with KD, Root, Crit, then start your debuffs and dots? Give me your "normal" plan of attack.

3 - How long do your fights usually last using your pistols and CM tactics?

Thanks in advance!

This is my template for now, and to help with accuracy, have a pistol made with the scope, I did on mine and it had a bonus of +68 i think, somewhere around there, plus you can increase it with Pistol Accuracy AA's.

If I am able to sneak up on the Jedi, say at MO, I will usually KD, apply debuffs, get away from melee distance, root, dot, and start shooting like mad, then incorporate KD again when the time comes, rinse and repeat.

Depending on the Jedi's skill, I have had fights range from 1-2 minutes to 15-20 minutes.

1-2 minutes? I think I've only killed 1 jedi so far in that short time and it was a 220k payout but I'm not sure how I did it. I guess he just didn't feel like surviving.

My current temp is: MBH, MCM, Carb 0400 and while the accuracy is higher I still end up missing quite a bit. I do get the imp leg shot but I think I'd rather have the root. 3 jedi i was fighting yesterday ended up running away with force run and I couldn't catch him.One of thejedi KD'd me , rooted me and then took off running. It was so frustrating. He then went into a rebel base so I couldn't go after him. He kept sending me tells saying "Ok I'm done. You win. No force left". I couldn't do anything about it either. I figure that if I would have had root it might have been a different story.

I replied mostly to your questions in the other thread, but my fights last about 10 mins or so...usually do to stasis/FR3 tactics. My master defender fights last anywhere from 10-56 mins :-0

I'm kinda new at this...I've taken about 6 Jedi missions and crap load of NPC's, for loot of course.

Ok, I'm only 2 for 6, and those two, I had help due to coincidence. I could use some advise too I think. I have a good amount of SEA's (ranged accuracy+25, Pistol Acc+11, Pistol def +22, gen speed + 8, Pistol speed +12)

Anyway, my fights never end quickly, they usually go at least 10 mins, but it seems I've chosen the uber Jedi by luck...they seem to have the best sabers (top damage value on power strike over 1550, for example). The problem I ALWAYS have is my mind wears out. This has happened EVERY single time. I get them close, but can't put them out. I take canape, tea, and booster blue, blob candy, crispic, pyro in spurts.

With PUP, my MDPS on the FWG5 is 615, I have battle armor rated at 6,000 across the board, and 75% ab protection.

Oh, by the way, they just pop holo's, every singleJedi has confessed to this. I just need to find a Jedi that already popped one within 24 hrs.

Any advice??? Or do I just need more practice?

Mostly more practice, but the learning curve is not bad once you get addicted to covert pvp. Yes, at first I felt like I was pulling all the pre-cu knights as well, but mostly just bad luck. BTW, are you using bacta toss enhancers? +18 healing efficiency bio-clothes? 16 filling ruby bliel with ~1200 instant stimpacks? a med droid (when u can)?

I have a +19 heal eff bio-eng shirt with a +16 melee +16 ranged defense bandolier. Mind and healing are never a problem for me usually. The only real problem I have is missing alot. I just wish pyro lasted longer than only 1 minute. LOL. I usually notice that I need to take pyro again when I start missing alot again.

Foods I use: Blob candy, Kanali wafers, spiced tea, pikatta pie, snow cakes, and pyro. I also use sythsteak when needed.

Enhancers I use: Traumatize enhancers, Fire dot and Poison dot enhancers as well. I never use healing enhancers nor med droids. I have never needed them

I have found that I never get the jedi to run out of mind so he can't heal. It's always when his force runs out I either waste him or he runs away fast.

By the way...as far as the caps on accuracy, speed, melee and ranged defense...what do they all cap at?

I know accuracy is unlimited but what do the others cap at?

Thanks.

i have the same template, just grinded it out last week actually. the only foods i use are breath of heaven, ruby bliel and vangarenian canape. i have taken 1 jedi mission with it so far and have won it. he tried to run a couple times but i just rooted and kept beating him down. i use a krayt scatter pistol with speed and damage slice and a SAC pup. i find i dont miss that much actually with the reduced accuracy.

when ever i start i fight i start with depending on the situation, paralyze, apply deebuffs, kd, crit, body, root, apply dots.

Well i was that temp and had good success hunting jedi.

My attack was , paralyze, de-buff run out 15m Root then Dot then its just kite

and keep the mind debuff going.

I wanted more acc. so I would hitharder so i switch my temp to

MBH / MCM / pistol x4xx for Acc. (gave up root) I also went on a mission

to get AA and CAs that capped pistol acc. and general ranged acc. I also

use a drink that last 15 mins but only gives +40 to ranged acc. (dont remeber name off hand)

I use a damage capped scatter with capped speed and a sac of 70 ( 50 with sac pup)

My attack now is , paralyze, de-buff, kd and Dot then kite making sure i keep the mind debuffed.

Almost always the fight will come down to mind. If the jedi is not a Def then i hit him very close to

my max damage since i got all the Acc. mods. Even if they are master defender I can still hit

them for around 250 to 300 a shot and if i have my Dots going then they will be out of mind soon.

Hope this helps. PM me is you want anymore details.

Hmmm very interesting with the Pistols 0400 for that extra accuracy. The temp I have right now is MBH, MCM, Carb 0400 and with using my elite carb I have these base stats:

Accuracy+200

Melee Def +175

Ranged Def +200

Speed +70

Now with dropping carb 0400 and picking up pistols 0004 these are base stats:

Accuracy +140 (huge drop)

Melee Def +220

Ranged Def +240

Speed +65

and changing to pistols 0400 these are base stats:

Accuracy +180

Melee Def +180

Ranged Def +200

Speed +65

and with these stats you lose the root so now the ultimate question is:

Which would be more effective fighting jedi? Usinga Featherweight FWG5 capped pistol with Pistols 0400 or using a capped Elite carbine with Carb 0400. Carbs you have imp leg shot, pistols you would lose root but gain accuracy to almost match up with the carbine.

Would pistols prevail because of the speed of the weapons? I didn't think speed affecting much because you are just spamming specials all the time.

Your thoughts?

I do not remember the exact stats but they go like this:

Krayt High Cap Scatter
Dmg: 350-948 (dmg capped)
Speed: 1.2 or 1.5
Wound: 31%
Base DPS: 393
SAC: 75
*This pistol is ADKed

*This pistol is also unpupped. Since the sac is pretty low, i usually use a dmg pup on it which increase the dmg by about 110+, so my dmg is like 460ish to 1100something.

This template is also my exact template. I usually save my root shot for 2 instances. (1) when they are a weak jedi and i inatiate combat and they start to flee! I root, KD a 2nd time and just go all out offense. or (2) I use it when they are really strong and i know they wont run from me, so i use it when they get Armor Break on me, i use it to keep them at a distance.

Fights usually last 5min. If they aren't a defender, i usually win right away because i have lots of exp doing this.

But if they are Master Defender, or at least 0040 defneder, the fights ALWAYS last at least 30min and i usually end up dieing, or they run out of force and always get away from me Its still fun to hunt none the less
