Hey all, sorry about posting this but I'm running around in circles trying to decide on which temp I should go.

It's between Master Pistol and Master Carb.

I tried reading the stickied thread above, got to about page 4 and it just made it worse

I have a very nice pistol I want to use, Feath FWG5 maxed low sac and maxed high dmg, so take that into consideration.

Any help would be great.

BTW mostly for PvE and maybe some PvP (jedi hunting).

Thanks again.

It gets confusing because Pistoleer BH's will tell you they have the best. Carbineers will tell you they have the best.

If you like your pistol, then go with pistoleer. You get a nice root, some good (although lower power) specials. Carbineer is a nice balance between overt power and specials, but the master level weapons (to me) don't seem worth the investment. I did "the best" with the proton carbine when I was tried Carbineer out in my template.

I far preferred pistoleer over carbineer because I had some VERY nice pistols to use with it.

Overall, I have chosen a different template than either of the two you asked about though. Just my personal preference to rifleman.

carbineer is a mix of specials and highish dmg. The master carbines are good, but the kinetic ones are better for Jedi hunting aparantly.pistols is up close and personal, carbines keep them atsnared and kite like mad.

I prefer carbines, but i just love them so much. Just your personal choice and playing style tbh. Every prof has good points and bad points.

MBH/MP(or MC)/4000CM

OR

MBH/MP/0440Carb

should use a pistol with a high min dmg for those defender types pistoleer gets a root which is helpfull so id stick with that and get a eally ncie HC scatter made with high min good max low sac decent speed

still i think rifles are the best ^^

Honestly, its up to you, what do you prefer playing ? I have tried every combo

Pistol bh , carbine bh, rifle bh. You just have to approach the jedi in a different way using differents tactics. Nothing better or worse than another.

Go with what your feeling will suit you best,

just my opinion friend.

you could go mbh/mcarbs/pistol 0004 or something like that. You get the benefit of range from using a carbine and then also the root from pistols. Add a bit of healing and your set.

No place for medic with that template brother

leave you 18 SP left, novice medic and maybe 0010 medic. Not enough

- medic 0010 is enough..... if you have a healing eff shirt/ca and a med droid. Cause with the root and the snare, you won't take very much damage.

- but, if you really wanna try something fun.... go with MBH / MPist / Carb 0440. That was my template for several months of Bounty Hunting. It can be difficult to learn, cause you have to remember to stay away from your opponent, but I have beaten quite a few Jedi with it.... and even my fair share of knights. Then when you end up having a friendly talk with them afterward and you tell them your template, sometimes they don't believe you that they have been beat by someone with no healing at all.

- Good for most PVE as well, can just about solo the Katarn with it (if you could get to the katarn solo), only hard part is PvP in groups..... if you get ganged up on, you'll need a healer near by to help you out. But it's alot of fun too.... you just stay on the outskirts and control people depending on who needs the most help.

-And.... if you are in doubt as to what to do with your template...... flip a coin. Cause regrind is only a couple days away if you are a CL 80.

imho, pure Mpistol is better than pure Mcarbs. Carbs has some range adv, but no states and no root.

Mcarbs or Mrifles is only a good option with MBH when they dabble inthe pistoleer tree which would make a decent PvE template, however, not too good for jedi or high end tanking....because there is not any innate healing -- only stims

if you are serious about a high end type tank or lasting ag. a jedi then u need innate healing from medic and/or CM

Many go CM 4000 with either MPist, Mcarb or Mrifles (with MBH). That about knocks out all your skill points.

You cannot have healing as such or worth anything at all....and dabble pistols as a Mcarb or vice versa...

You need to decide how you will play your char. with Great Heals (CM+stims) Decent Heals (Medic only+stims) or 1200 every 30-60sec STIM Ds

To get CM 4000 will take NO TIME at all...in a good grind group throwing heals. Like an hour or less.

If you have another CM with you...instant trains other than novice CM. Try it...u like it stay...If not dabble elsewhere.
