Thread: Detonation Droid
do this for 4 commands and the droids name will change to (bob)
so you use detonate first and then have him follow target right? approx how far away can you be when you do that? how much distance can it travel b4 it blows up?
No...you tell it to /chase (default command) or whatever you program for follow target first..then when its in range target the droid and then /det (starts countdown). Personally... I find bomb droids a waste of credits...lately the bomb droids are not getting close enough to actually do full blast damage (they stop about 10 meters from the target-melee range) and the target only takes peripheral damage rather than full damage. Hell...I can do 2 carbine shots (adv crit and Imp Leg shot and do more damage in the same amount of time. Waste of time and creditsimo unless you can get one right up on your target (5m or less)and your target is totally oblivious to its presence.
The only viable and really successful use I find with bomb droids is to not even tell it to chase my target. On the "rare" occasion I do use one, I'll keep it parked right next to me and when the jedi rushes me (they always do), since I'm a MCM, I'll paralyze them and then blow it up in their face as I'm debuffing them.
Some advice....don't bother naming it at all....group with it... /tellpet chase (when you have your jedi targeted)....click on the droid in your group pane when its close enough and then type /det. Don't want to type...just create two macros /tellpet chase and /det . No hassles with a targeting macro or naming a droid every time.
Regards.
