Started SWG back in june 04 with a friend and we decided to go the BH route. It was loadsa fun hunting as a team against the then much more powerful jedi.

Real life kicked in and I left the game for a while and came back to find my friend has stopped playing. Why I wondered? Well I started hunting jedi again on pub 20 day and what a load of dross.

8 attempts = all offline
1st proper attempt = full template jedi and it wouldnt give me his goddam name till I was within 100m of him and by that time he found me out so I aborted as I dont have a good healing spec to drag a fight out with a jedi - I go for the sneak - high damage which normally works.

So theres a bug that prevents the tracking droid from giving u a name so you cant work out exactly where the target is until its too late. Thats so game breaking for me. So now I have to be a healer just because of a stupid bug.

Tried again today not found a jedi online lol been trying over an hour. I thought this patch would sort this crap out.

BTW I still think Jedi are too weak - its fairly easy to take out a full spec one if you time it right when stupid bugs dont get in the way.... I think they should bring back group hunting and let ppl in the jedi group help defend. It was so much more fun back then........

Or are all you fun loving BHs gone with my friend??????

If it wasnt for those lovely npc missions I woulda dropped BH as soon as I got back.

I'm all for saber TEF - that crap was a lot of fun and back then Jedi did hide. There's no xp loss other than BH db so they could feasibly bring it back, but it also all depends on what they plan to do with the new FRS.

ya pub 20 really screwd things up

The problem now is theres sooooooo many jedi its got to the point where if you are not a jedi you are hunting them.

If this was in the time period intended - the emperor would send out teams of BHs to counter the problem.

The developers want to protect the Jedi players so not to scare them off - but at the same time give us bounty hunters a good chance of hunting Jedi. But the direction the profession is taking is less towards efficient hunting of Jedi and more towards having to waste hours at a terminal and hours hunting your mark.

I dont know how you can get enjoyment out of it now because of the new bugs and all those offline jedi on the terms. We need group hunting back and yes like you say jedi used to be SCARED back then.

I guess im just /moan but the profession at the moment is a joke to me.
