Thread: My first encounter vs a BH, Post patch 20

Just wanted to share a non BH hate tale of my first experience post patch 20 for you BHs.
Last night after patch 20 one of those "qualified" BHs came to visit me. Now im a noob jedi. 1400 powers, and 4000 healer. Nothing else. More for RP then for fighting.
he shows up, i have to cloak, im level 64, he is 80, full on food and ready to rock and roll.
So he starts sending out seeker droid after seeker droid. (seekers can track cloakers just fine) so im running around for 15 mins trying to burst run away to find anyplace i can sneak into. Ack but new rules, BH vs Jedi TEF ejects both outside and i had no private residence nearby.
Eventually im at half a force bar, i either must stand and fight (and die, only 4300 rifles) or hope he runs out of seekers before i run out of force and must fight him without my healing.
I decide to make my stand and fight. The fight lasts 5 minutes, i die, loose 225k xp.
But afterwards me and the BH talked for about 20 mins about what he did, and what i could of done better. He even gave me a new swoop for the one he blew out from underneth me. A pretty nice guy, just fullfilling his professions role.
NOTE: this was my first PvP experience ever in SWG. Also i refuse to hide in ROTW and grind AFK like the rest of the exploiters out there. So when i get on the terms, im online and huntable.....well unless im doing a legit quest run in ROTW or Avatar Platform. SOE needs to make jedi huntable in ROTW also.
Dont let patch 20 get you down, were still huntable and kill able. Sadly you cant do anything about the cheaters.

Your story flat demolishes every single BH complaint about Cloak being too uber.

Yep... that combined with the bug on seeker droids never running out when using *seek and track*... well, nough said.

Most BH's arn't its just dealing withbastar*d jedi all day that sours us, and like jedi tehre are the respecers. They don't respect the 2 weeks it takes to grind out investigation.

I agree. I have YET to have a bad encounter with a BH in game.

do cloaked jedi show up on the overhead map? i ask this because i was traveling on Dath tracking a jedi when all of a sudden i see a blue dot on my map(not the radar). i didn't see anyone there so i just assumed that this was a cloaked jedi. if this is the case then i will always be hunting with my map on.

i know i didnt see the BH when he was"concealed" on my overhead map.

Nope. I don't even show up in my own radar/map when cloaked.

not really.......before the CU it would take forever to even get ready for PvE. I didnt even want to deal with doing all that then getting killed 2 mins later by a group. (not a complaint, just a very big possiblity) not to mention all the stories i heard about greifing, unbalanced professions and the fact that youhad to bea certain template to compete all turned me off to PvP.
After the CU, this wasnt the case, but since im in a RPing PA, faction doesnt play a part in our RP, so its not like im part of any groups raiding CNet.
I accept jedi will be hunted by BHs, and generally speaking the type of players that stand outside of starports looking for duels and such arent the type of players i wish to play with.
