Thread: Token Respec Coming A Point to Ponder

Token Respec is coming with Publish 18 (see Pub. notes for details).


Additionally, elemental damage on weapons is supposed to be fixed at some point.


I would strongly suggest people hold off on this final, final respec until you know how the elemental damage on various weapons affect damage.


An example: You are a Master Rifleman because of T-21 or Trandoshan Rifle, you notice that the Proton Carbine with cold damage gets more DPS now. You might want to respec to Carbineer for the accuracy and speed bonuses, etc., etc.

They took the elemental dmg fix out of the patch notes. Is that significant, meaning did their fix not work?

Means the Devs buggered up again. The fix they implemented showed damage in the combat log, but did not actually do any extra damage to the target.


So once again, they push out a broken patch and forego fixing something that should have been working when the CU went live.

Good advice Tanks. I'm not going to use mine untill I see the GCW Revamp and some of the other Profession Revamps. As I'm sure these will some how effect us.

of the subject tanks but is there an ETA on mind mosts for healing? or have the devs changed there minds or what ever........ any way we'll find out how this respec works tomorrow

At least it means that they are working on it....much better than ignoring it.

They took it out because it wasn't working this time. I think that's a good move, have more time to fix it rather than release more bugged work.

i thought the elemental was already factored into dps, it just didnt work so the dps was misleading

Am I to understand that another respec is in the works? I completed the "token" respec for one of my characters and really screwed it up. I would welcome one more shot at it.

I think the Token Respec is the last, last, last, last Respec. I'm saving it for the future, just in case I decide to go MBH/MCM or something.

Now, the question is, were you refering to the proton carbine, or the heavy lighting rifle back when you posted this?
