Thread: You Respec'd to MBH and Want to Hunt The Jedi...
Hey Tanks, thanks for the tips. I'll remember them when I finally get to start working on BH.
As for the rest of these posts, please stop whining folks. Play to have fun. It is frustrating to die and lose XP, but just roll with it. Jedi is supposed to be tough. BH is supposed to be tough. I plan on getting both.
Happy hunting. /evilgrin

i fixed it for you.
i have a master bh and a MLS jedi. know how long it took to get from noob toon to master BH? i got 0444 AND ALL the combat xp for the master box this weekend in 2 days. and on the third day of my three day weekend i mastered rifle. know how long it took to get from noob to MLS??just look at my registration date for a hint.
a toon that takes 2 years to grind should beevenly matched witha group of 5 or 6 toons that take a weekend.

Since when do you get MBH with 0444 and enough combat xp to master? lol... Go get all that investigation xp and let us know how long it took.
See, there are three types of BH's that hunt Jedi...
The first type are the ones in it for the money. They take Jedi missions because a 200k payout is a nice chunk of money. They hunt, and kill Jedi to make a living. These types of BH's are very rare.
The second type are the ones that hate Jedi. Either they feel that there are too many Jedi in the game. Or maybe a Jedi or two really upset them about something. Whatever their reasons, these BH's hunt Jedi to cause them to lose xp. The thinking runs along the lines of "if I make these Jedi lose enough xp, they won't have their Jedi out in public very much anymore". Out of sight = out of mind.
The third type are the ones that hate Jedi, and they also want to get the money. They encompass the best and worst qualities of both the other two types.
I am one of the "type one" BHs I guess. I could give a flip what the jedi I hunt think. All they are to me is $$$. That being said, I don't hunt jedi often and have only managed to DB acouple out of those few I hunt.

My wife and I were both Novice BH with most lines finished before the CU and finsihed our investigation after. We couldnt seem to getpast bugged missions prior to CU. Missing marks and what not. Now that we have MBH and hunt Jedi we seem to be pissing them off with our succesfulness against them. My question is there in PC (politically Correct) way of hunting jedi so we dont get remarks like respec noob. Yes we respeced to finish a bugged line, but after being nice enough to let the mark kill his current enemy and heal then we fired away. He had a chance to run but decided to attack and then attack again after the first incap. We were even going to offer him a deal to pay our bounty so we could delete it and save his xp, but by attacking again he didnt give us a chance. Are we being too nice by offering any chance?

OBTW for any Jedi on Ahazi who read this
My wife Ket and I only hunt Jedi who openly flaunt skills or wear robes in front of starports. If we see you do this then you go on our enemy list (friends list). Then we take time to track to see what you do aka guild, rank, and get all the details before we both go to term and track you individually until we find the planet you are on. Then from oposites sides of the planet we both come to your location. After this we are here to collect. We will drop your bounty and pay our employer if you pay us the amount of 150k and let u keep xp, otherwise we take you the harder more profitable way. If you do not wear the robes or ever show your skills around where they can be seen by PCs we know you will never make our list.

The problem is two fold. One, just like any other class, there are jerks in the jedi profession. Two, Jedi have been greifed plenty by BHs. Offering to drop thier mission for a payout is not always the olive branch you may intend, as others offer that and kill the jedi anyway getting double the pay. Sometimes you will come up to a good person that will be honorable (on both sides of the BH/jedi conflict). Othertimes you will be met with anger and skepticism. I have always been a believier in he philosophy, "the world is what we make it". Be honorable and others may follow suit, be dishonerable, and they are just as likely to be the same. Be the bigger person. YOu cannot change everyone else, but you can change yourself. You can only hope others will follow suit. =)
That being said, it is easy to fall into that trap. Being hunted a few times myself, I have been known to mouth off in frustration. I have also seen the honrable ones and respect them greatly. it's no fun being killed by a exploiter, or someone from your own faction, but it happens every day and it causes a lot of animosity and distrust. Not exactly an excuse, just the reason. =)
I have said it before, and I will say it again. There are jerks and crybabies in every profession. To expect Jedi (or BHs) to not have the same is nieve. To hate one profession or another because of you encounter one or a few jerks in that profession seems silly. If you are, then you might as well hat all professions equally since they all have their fare share of crybabies. =)

Now, their are a bunch of Master Whinners/ 1337 Crybabies cluttering up another professions boards with drivel. I wonder how they'd feel if, instead of loosing 200k xp, they lost EVERYTHING after 3 deaths (the infamous "perma-death") and had to start all over?
Do I want to hunt Jedi? Now I do, after seeing the posts here. Maybe you Jedi need to rethink your attitudes lest you tick off more people and have full-time Jedi killers haunting your every step...

So far 90% of the threads I read are people wanting their chosen proffessions to be better. But dont complain about it, because you know that it wont change overnight.
Seriously. If you don't like it change. It really is that simple.
I feel the effectiveness of fencer has been seriously reduced in this CURB, but I dont whinge about it.I just change.
I have respeced to MBH/MR, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I might havegone that route anyway.I'm gratefull for the opportunity to switch proffessions and try new things out.
I will hunt any jedi I come across and I wont feel bad about it. Because if I were to become jedi I would expect the same.
If its in the game, its fair game.
If as a padwan you can be hunted (because the game allows it). Fair game.
If the game allows multiple BH's to hunt single Jedi's. Fair game.
If you're a jedi and you go AFK in public. Fair game.
If you're a jedi and you are nearly dead or out of force while hunting, and a BH comes and 'one shot' kills you. Fair game
After all, the game allows these things to happen.
Under these circumstances wouldnt it make achieving Jedi Knight, or Jedi master all the more rewarding?
I get to play galaxies only a few hours per month. If I had the time to dedicate to it, I too would become Jedi and suffer the pitfalls. I dont want to title of Jedi, just because I pay a monthly subscription.
I dont know much about exploits in relation to this subject, but from a moral point of view I would not use them and I would encourage others not to as well. (Unless I dont like you, then you're having it!)
I disagree. There are a lot of things that the game allows that I don't consider fair. While it may not be against any terms of service agreement, I just don't think repeatedly hunting the same Jedi is fair. The game allows for it though. I don't think using a a friend with a multi-user vehicle to spam "offer ride" and lag your opponents machine to a crawl fair... but the game allowes it. (Or at least it did until it was patched this publish).
The world in which we live is not fair. But one of the reason's it is not is because not everyone conducts themselves with fairness in mind. In an MMO where your true identity can be conceled, it is as if it is free license for everyone to act unfairly to each other. Some people are just like that. Others are not.
Everyone has different ideas about what is really fair. Just because you think something is, does not mean someone else does not think the opposite is true. People are likely to voice their opinions when they believe they are treated unfairly. If everyone was quiet, things would likely never change.
