Thread: What Armor Slice to Use for Jedi Hunting?

I just bought (what I think) to be a pretty sweet set of Ubese Armor. It has almost 8000 energy. Before I go get it sliced for hunting Jedi, what is THE BEST slice to get for this armor? I've heard the 75% armor break is amazing.


Recommendations?

The 75% break resist is the single best thing you can do to your armor.

Why is it so good? What exactly does it do that hinders Jedi so much? I heard the Jedi correspondant on The Galaxy Report Podcast say that the armor break slice is the #1 thing that stops Jedi from killing their attackers.


Are there stats you can give?

The ability "Armor Break" alows the attacker to bypass a good portion of your armor's protection. So your 8000 resist to energy is not blocking much at all.


What good if your armor if they can exploit it?


(yes I said exploit, not in the SWG cheeting sence, but the intended game mechanics, proper use of the term)

Basically it works like this:


Improved armor break reduces an armor's resistance by 65%, so this makes the final resists on armor around 19%.


the 75% AB slice reduced the AB amount by 75%, resulting in a total 'break' of only 12%, bringing the final resists on armor to about 52%.

75% armour break slice is also only 60% customisation, allowing you to add in a 1% Damage Reduction chance and one of the decay slices.

Good luck finding shock absorbant padding tho

My personal suit is Rebel Recon, 8120 Energy Resist, +350 health bonus, 75% Armor Break Slice, 20% Chance of Decay Reduction (helps BIG time on decay) and 1% Absorb damage chance.


But yes, if you get anything, get the AB slice, no real BH would be without it (or they'll be dead).
