I'm ordering my (prolly health enhanced) suit for jedi hunting, but am not sure how much elemental damage the jedi does...
suit will be either energy or electricity layered...I ran some numbers and came up with this:
unlayered suit is appr. 7000E/ 5000K, 6000 elemental
Energy layered suit: 8100E/3900K 6000 elemental -> stops 3.8% more elec damage, you take 7.5% more damage from Kinetic (force powers)
Electricity layered suit: 7000E/ 5000K 7100 electricity -> stops 4.8% more electric damage (LS elemental)
primus layered: 7550/5550/4900 -> stops appr. 2% more energy, 3% more kinetic, but you take 6.1% more electric damage.
now I'm wondering what a normal value is for the elemental damage of a mls saber.....but from the stats below imo an energy layered suit does not seem the best choice:
-you take more damage from force attacks
-in case you agro mobs these also hit a lot harder due to lower Kinetic resist.
I'd say depending on how big the elemental damage from a saber is, either primus or electric layered is the way to go...but tbh even a non layered suit doesn't look that bad
your inputs please (I'm very curious on the stat on the post-curb sabers as I haven't played much post-curb yet)

Jedi elemental damage can be changed by using another blade color. You could take all elemental damage types from a Jedi. Sunrider's Destiny and Bane's Heart dont deal the same type of elemental damage, either.

As previously stated a Jedi's elemental damage can be changed by changing the color crystal in their saber so Electric layers would be the worst move to take. Your best bet is to cap on Energy resistance as all Sabers do a base damage type of Energy.

doh I wrongfully though saber elemental damage was always elec.

It is currently since most use Bane's Heart
On another note, elemental damage does not get increased by special modifiers, so the elemental damage you take will always be around 10% to 30% of the total damage you take, you get more out of your armor by protecting against the other 70% to 90%.

it can be a lot more than 30% though, mainly on stating specials and such who have a very low (smaller than X1) damage mod

I do not use what has become a standard color specifically for this reason. Banes and Sunridders are pretty much used by all Jedi, which means BH get armor to resist them. I stick with my blue crystal which adds over 170 cold damage. It hardly ever gets resisted, which helps a lot. When Jedi start thinking like individuals, I think more BH will buy the 7k energy/6k elemental compromise armor, ut until then...

All color crystals = 20% of max LS dmg
Sunrider's Destiny & Bane's Heart = 30% of max LS dmg.
626-720 = 216 elemental from Sunrider's, my armor mitigates that down to 112 elemntal, a perfect LS will do about 130+ on me, if it's over 150 and up, it's not a legit LS.

Regular color crystals have 25% elemental damage.
