...of being the best astromech vendor on Chilastra.

I bought this game, and am grinding my way slowly to Novice DE, solely for the purpose of making astromechs.

Probots? MSE droids? Probe droids?Protocol droids? Sure, I may make them if someone asks (outside of make MSEs for grinding), but what I want to be doing is simple. I want to be the guy you come to when you want an astromech droid. Want an R5 with medical module? I'm the guy. Want an R2 unit with sarcastic personality chip for company and (someday) plug into your starfighter? That's me. Want an R4 with crafting module to help you in your PA's bakery? Sure, got one here. Want an advanced R3 with all the trimmings as a status symbol? Sure, what color would you like?

Would be nice one day to have a shop, and a factory, where people would come to buy my droids... if I could have more than one out, I can imagine a showroom.. maybe with droids lined up for display...

Anyway, that's why I'm working towards being a DE, and sort of why the stats on probots and such don't bother me as much... I just want to make astromech units. Oh yeah, and to help overthrow the Empire.

Please tell me you are just quoting from the story book and that you didn't watch the movie "A.I."

I think that's a great plan regarding the astromech. It adds to the RP environment that you want your character to specialize on a certain type of droid and the modifications there-in. Bully for you.

Hmm, I was expecting the first reply to be: "Keep dreaming". It would be nice for all combat classes to be needed sometimes instead of just CH'ers or commandos.

I cut and pasted this from a post I made a month ago..I too have had that dream...

"I have a dream that one day when a Master Pikeman, Swordsman, Fencer or TK Master battle 1 vs 1 against one another it will be epic. That crowds gather around as their weapons spark in a ballet of death. That the battle is not determined on a single stat being spammed against, but by the careful choices the Master makes. I hope that one day when a Master Pikeman, Swordsman, or Fencer walk
thru town, they can do it with their heads held high."

I have been a Pikeman from day one....I was going to drop it to do as the Holocron instructed and work to master Fencer, but... I just can't bring myself to do it. Hope, is the only thing I have left. However, my faith in the development team is dwindling... Unfortunately it's all about making the almighty dollar and we just don't have the numbers to justify a developer's time. Our pleas are like crying in the rain. A total waste of time.

So, the only thing we can do is try and support each other. I salute all who have stuck with it. Have fun out there.
