Thread: Is there a cap damage on Jedi
The message you're seeing is misleading. When I block a shot, it shows the full damage of the shot on the block. Since it never hits me, my armor and ranged defense never decrease the amount of the shot. I'll use some numbers so it's clearer...
Let's say you can shoot for 1000. My typical damage reduction is around 75% when my defenses are up, so you'd hit for me 250. However, if I block it'll show you shooting for the whole 1000.
It doesn't mean I'm only blocking the heavy shots. It means my armor isn't being applied to the shots I'm blocking.
No what I am saying is that when I used advanced critical with aim and KD on them I am hitting them for 988 damage, really like 1800 but there armor absorbs like half of it. When I get down and do the same with sniper shot I am doing around 3K but after armor is it between 1200-1600. On a non Jedi this hits everytime and even on lower end Jedi. However whenever I test this on a MDefender it is blocked every single time. However specials that will do under 1K of damage after armor absorbtion they do not block or at least not as often.
For instance, last night we start a duel against each other, I go out 50m and go prone. I fire three consecutive sniper shots and they are all blocked, I then do three adv. critcals and they all hit, I do three head shots and they all hit, I then try three snipers and they are all blocked. Please note he was just standing there and healed when needed for this test.

My 700-1230 dmg carbine with adv crit shot only does maybe 600-800 dmg max on non- knights.

I am just wondering if anyone else has hit a MDefender for over 1K damage in one shot without it being blocked.
I dunno what's going on there then. I have to say though that I dunno how you're hitting a Jedi that hard in the first place. As a master defender, the hardest I've EVER been hit after armor in PvP was 800 and I've fought over 100 different bounty hunters.

It is not all about the gun. Accuracy plays a major factor, as does stun and if they are KD. Wanna see something funny, get accuracy enhanceing foods, have someone do an armor break, use confusion or burst shot for a stun, follow it up with underhandhand for a KD then an advanced critical while they are onthe ground. Now that is a lot of damage.
