Let's be honest to eachother here, I'm asking out of curiosity.
It looks like not a single person has actually taken these new über npcs...

It kind of feels like beating on the guardian jedis outside the enclaves...
I had ten 82s hammering on me yesterday, trust me, when they snare/root and move in for melee and break your armor, it's...
it's just inhumane...

I mean i can't even take one anymore!

I used to love the old boss-marks, they gave a rough challenge but pushing the right buttons knowing you're having the right skills, and you eventually would've had him.

Taken out about 10 double gold chevron mobs... theyarent too bad if you know what your doing...treat em like a player not a stupid Mob

Yes..I have killed bout 20 of the regular marks, 6 of the single gold chevron marks, and 2 Boss marks

The Bosses were rough, and I had to kite a LOT, and heal a lot but keeping steady DPS was the key.

You simply have to keep your DPS up and the mobs down. Bleeds will help you a lot on that (torso shot)

I use a triple capped E11 Mk II carbine w/ +52 accuracy mod built in and a speed pup (my speed in .93 with this gun), as well as CAs & AAs for accuracy, speed, and defenses.

The other BIG helper in keeping my DPS up is my combat R2. Having that lil guys non-stop with his 150 point kinetic attack is a MUST for a long fight. Hell still be hitting while you heal yourself, which is the clencher when trying to beat the mobs regen rate.

Also keep your own health and action regen up with the right foods (booster blue, and Gammorl for me, and some Pica thundercloud)

Buck up, the fights ARE winnable but you will have to be alert and be AS PREAPARED as you would be for a live Jedi mark.

PS dont forget duelist stance macro!!

Yes

there seems to be 2 kinds of Double Gold Cheveron bosses

those with superfast regen and those without super fast regen

Ihave beaten both solo so yeah it is possible but seems that only power hitters can take them down since their regen rate is so damn fast.

Please note that most gold chevrons only have about 18k ham. Bosses have 30k + ham and regen like mad.

To answer the op: Yeah, I killed my first 30k boss this morning. He killed me once. I got buffed and killed him in return. Toughest NPC mark I've had yet. Except for the regen I really enjoyed the fight. It really needs to be toned down some. He continually root/snared me. Didn't really bother me as I don't move around much in combat. I kinda just stand there and shoot them till they die from it. He never moved in for melee. Even if he had, I'm not too scared of AB as my armor is 75%.

Yes, have had two, and defeated two.. 32k ham, and 34k ham.. I dread finding one with 38k ham lol

It's not that hard, as others have stated... You just can't sit there and mash buttons expecting them to be easy like they were before. I actually like that there's finally a challenge to it.

Use your states, use your bleeds, and above all, have the right foods and buffs.

FYI: Pistoleer/bh/cm4000 is my template. Using a decent DL44xt, not capped in any stat, or sliced,and 6800 energy ubese.

The key? Use strategy, and actually think about what you are doing.

Double gold chevrons are the Boss marks... Im talking the 32 and 34k HAM marks here. They arent hard, but if you treat them like a player you will win every time... well if you ahve good gear...if your armor and weapons suck..maybe not.

Ive killed a few 30k plus marks, Ive had one which I couldnt take without a doc healing me, Im not sure how common these ones are, but I think its the odd nasty one in there, I personally like this idea.

Here's the thing, i haven't encountered these yet, but there were golden chevrons that hit me for 500-700 damage, and there were the ones with 10k that hit me for 70...

I was up against 3 in a row, 30k-40k ham like goldens and they whooped my ass...
It's just not fun anymore...

And tactics? A real jedi?
Pshhh, a real jedi is easier than these!
A jedi can not be a level 82, and seriously, ranged attack + melee attack?
600 damage with a artisan steel-polearm!?
500-700 dmg with a DLT20 RIFLE!?

These NPCs have templates far over 250 skill points, it's just so unbalanced...

I have. but you can't just sit there and auto-fire and go get a snack anymore. You have to treat them like a jedi. You have to food up and use some tactics now
