It's out of control. I think they are really doing the best they can at this point. 100% of the community cannot be satisfied. You will always have the unsatisfied, no matter what you do to try and please them. There is always some issue or some concern that they need to be fulfiilled. You do that, and they want more, and more, and more......
Until you say "no" then they lose control. I think what Garva said in that post is very legitimate. I've posted similar myself. We DON'T need to see 100's of posts a day concerning how one thing or another is "broken" or "nerfed" or "not right". Especially on these profession forums. That's what the In Live and In Testing issues threads are all about!

Trying to alleviate some of the anger and rage on the forums by deleting posts and not providing information is akin to alleviating a headache by means of decapitation.
It's covering up the symptoms, not curing the problem.
Well I don't think you actually saw the post that started this whole thing off.
The original post had to do with SWG as a whole. It was a well writen statement/letter, the majority of the replies were nice and friendly,
But he deleted it, was put up again and deleted again, this went on for some time, finally he posted his post, and by that time instead of carming the situation he fuelled it instead.
Still, this board is owned by SOE. Any inflamitory remarks are going to be dealt with. There is a freedom of speech issue at stake here though. What he "did" wasn't right, but it's also probably at the order of a superior.
You can stand infront of aWalMart telling everyone that the store rips people off/sells bad product, etc. That's you RIGHT under the consitution, however it's a public nuisance and the Police, if called will remove you, by force if necissary.
Freedom of speech is NOT all encompassing and does NOT allow anyone to say anything at anytime. Especially here, since we have to PAY $15 to access these forums and post... by doing so, we are silently agreeing to the EULA.
What was posted was in violation, no matter who eloquent and uninflamitorily (is that even a word) it was written.
I'm not disagreeing with you.
I am, however in full disagreement with how it was handled. Then again, I suspect it's easier to have Garva write the post and lock/delete than it is to have Developers actually give meaningful explanations for changes and have an actual dialogue with the players, and maybe just maybe a stated plan for the game going forward.
It's an efficient use of manpower, but not to be applauded, IMO.
