well in the beginning you will get a way point, it will be on the same planet you are on and you simply go to that spot and kill the guy. now how do you get the way point....
you go to the term, click on it, get your mission, then go and talk to an informant. check the boards for a list of informants, now there are diffrent level informants, ones for easy missions, up through investgation 2, middle ones, investigation 3, and hard, investigation 4 and up ( my information may be a little off on investigation 4, I ground it the fast way which I will cover, someone who did it the traditional way please correct any errors I make here)
once you talk to your informant for the easy ones you get a way point, easy
once you talk to your informant for the harder ones you get a bio sig and need to use droids, the first droid your going to call is a arakoid or some thing like that, it takes 20 seconds and drops randomly, watch for it because its easy to miss and you need to be outside a city to call it. once you get it click on it and it will have an option to give it the bio sig, then it will take off. this will tell you what planet to look on. once you go to that planet you need to launch a probe droid, this will give you a wp to the mark, however you need to pay attention to it and do it often because at this level they start to move
ok this is the part where I took the fast way, at investigation 2 you can start to slice bases, the easiest way is pve bases using that planets camo so the mobs dont agro you at first, you run in, find the uplink terminal, and click on it to slice it, its a little mini game and you will be agroed so bring a friend to soak damage or just get good with timing your incaps, you get 1k per slice, which makes the tree go much faster, if your really good and know where bases are you can do the whole tree in a day in theory, though it took me about a week because I did other things
good luck, and welcome to the prof

"nerf" threads of any type really are inappropriate there are better ways for you to express what you see as problems with things.
