Thread: 1200+ Damage

Just a little question to the BH´s used to hunting Jedi:
Have you ever been hit for 1200+ damage? I looked at my combat log and it said I was hit for 1090 something energy and 130 or so energy.
The strange thing is that my armour didn´t absorb ANY of the damage. I have a complete set with around 6500 energy resist, AB sliced, deflection sliced etc. The condition of all my armorpieces was also good...nothing under 50% of total cond. AB was NOT applied to me...
The attack was an advanced sabre throw.....
That attack was pretty much the only attack that jedi spammed...
Has anyone here experienced the same thing?
Needless to say, I lost the fight...

Ifthe Jedijust spams one attack as you state. he knew what was going to happen and did it intentionally.

Screenshots are taken and the question is sent to the devs also.
I´m not accusing anoyone of anything here, it just seems really strange that I got no damage mitigation at all from my armor.

K, now don't think that I don't believe you, I am just trying to investigate all avenue's.
Do you have Verbose Combat logs enabled with all the weapon damage and armor mitigation?
Were you stunned? dizzied? Blind? these all affect your defenses.
I don't know what else to say, the fact tha no Armor mitigation showed up at all leads me to believe you, or a piece of your armor, is bugged. Because as I said earlier, even if the guy overloaded his saber it still should show up some mitigation from your armor.
As far as the Saberthrow spamming, I always set my auto attack to saberthrow when a BH tries to kite me, set him on /follow and just sit back, saves me from having to hit buttons all the time. When I root him or KD I just cycle through the Head/Leg/Body hits manually.

Maybe he had Saberthrow set on auto attack while the BH Kited him.

No man, it´s ok...I understand you asking me this stuff to try to understand what happened...I´ve already asked myself all of this a couple of times 
But no, I wasnt in a state as far as I remember...and there´s no mentioning of it in the combat log either (Yes, I use the verbose)
The saberthrow is probably correct...I was kiting him at the moment it happened so you´re probably right there...
As for a bugged piece of armor.....how the heck can I find out what piece that is!?!?

Just wondered, as I was hitting the last BH very hard the other day lol. Can't remember if it was saber throw?

I have hit for higher. +1400 +1600 +++ Saber Throw when at a distance. Hmm, what else should I use.

Now we´re getting kinda off topic here...
This was never meant to be a "Jedi, how hard can you hit?"-thread...
And yes, of course you´re supposed to use your sabre throw when your enemy is far from you.
BUT, the original question was directed to other BH´s used to fighting jedi. And the question was: Have you ever been hit by a jedi and had your armor "fail"? Meaning not mitigating at all....not a single word in the Verbose combat log...as if you didn´t have any armor on you.
All this while being 100% sure about wearing a complet set of armor, the armors condition is good and sliced, No AB was applied to you, no states, no cyber arm etc.....
THAT is the question.....

You may have been unlucky enough to have been attacking a pre-CU dmg experimented ls with good tunes, entirely possible to get 700+ max dmg on those sabers. The jedi may also have had you knocked down and using corelian ale, which is +200 to melee accuracy.
This combo, while rare, definately hurts.

So, what you are saying is, that a good pre-cu sabre combined with high accuracy and me lying down would bypass my armor?
Not even 1% mitigation? Because this is the strange thing...One hit is describes as if I didn´t have any amor at all on...
