Thread: Just an Idea.
I dont know about you guys but i would really appreciate a visible line that showed where the no-build zone ended. Preferbly if it was able to be turned on and off. That way there would be no confusion about where you could build your campsite.
I wouldnt think that this would be too hard to implement.
i dont think they'll do that. it makes it a little too easy to gain those scout xp. you can just setup camps right at the line all day.
go exploring. youll be out in the wild soon enough and have plenty of places (and the need) to set up camp. just remember...when youre out exploring, and you stop for ANYTHING, setup a camp. the FIRST thing i do while in camp is build another camp. that way i never have none on hand.
i use lots of traps, so i need to build them often. setup camp and build them, do your healing, then youll be off.
The reason that i suggested that was because for each planet and each city on each planet the zones are diffrent if they were uniform it would be another story. Things like POI or player positioned mining devices affect the zone as well.
On Talus for example depending on which direction you leave town will determine how far out you will have to travel into the wilderness. It can vary from 1.5k (the shortest distance I have been able to camp in) to being well over 3k due to POI and players construction. When I am out that far all I really want to do is heal up and it is kinda self defeating not to allow someone to do this. It really can hamper the distance that I am willing to explore since I KNOW that there is a distinct possiblity of be screwed out of a camp site when I really need it.
Besides not allowing us to see it doesnt prevent us from finding a camp site and just wasting 12 hours IRL camping to get xp now does it?
I think each planet should have a faction or two that can call BH missions on any player that gets below -4000 of that faction points. And Shift some quality loot to these factions to temp players to lose these points.
Just an idea.
Interesting proposition.
I don't know that I could see Jawa's taking out a Bounty on someone - they just don't strike me as being that organized outside of their individual clans.
Jabba on the other hand, or the Blacksun, Lady Valarian and even the Empire and the Rebellion.
Persnally, I think the basic premise has merit.
