So I'm 3444 Bounty Hunter, obviously still grinding. So I pull a mission today, go to the Spynet dud3r, go out into the field next to Kadaara, get a probe, give it the bio-sig, and wait at the starport's Autobuffer. After around a minute, my probe droid finds my mark on Dantooine. At this point, the Autobuffer had not yet finished buffing me, so I waited for a bit. After the buffs finished, I turned to the starship terminals and traveled to Dantooine. When I got there, I tried to use my Seekers, but the radial option for finding/tracking did not come up. Irritably, and slightly frantically, I look up to my Waypoint monitor and notice there isn't a mission waypoint. So I scroll up in the spatial log, and notice "Mission Completed" "An amount of 24000 (or about that) credits has been trasfered to your bank account." I check my XP monitor, and notice my XP did not go up. Nor did my bank account. Laughing, I headed back to Kadaara to start over.

So, did a mad raging Rancor and a Nightsister Elder escaped from Dathomir come and utterly slaughter my mark? Did he/she commit suicide? Did my mark get squished by an anvil falling from the sky? Were they sympathetic to my previously frustrated attempts to get a bounty that wasn't in the middle of absolutely nowhere on a backwater planet and jumped off a cliff?

Really, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot happened here? lol

The only way you could of gotten payout was if you were in range of the mark. Chances are your mark attacked a jedi.

Dont know why it does this.

Uhh..Hmm..That's really weird..A Jedi? You mean an NPC? I didn't know the buggers could attack other NPC's...

For some reason, they attack overt players on sight. Back when I was grinding BH and anybody could attack a BH mark, you got a payout if your mark died no matter where you were, so that's probably what happened.

Back in my investigation grind days, about 1/2 a month ago, I would finally get to my target and he would almost be dead with a npc from a city attacking him. So, according to what you say, I believe it is the same deal, except you were to far away to do anything or know if another npc was attacking your target.

Yea, i def. think they like to attack jedi, i loaded up in agro outpost once, turn around to go to the ticket collecter, and wam, thought a bh was on me but then realized it was an npc. The thing that really makes me mad i get to my mission, seeker loses track, and when i finally get another seeker on it, its half way across the planet already, or even worst relocated in the middle of a big lake, which is an auto-fail

Droid track FTW! lol I don't usually have that problem, I seem to be lucky. I had a bounty on Lok that was 4km away, and when my droid found it again, it had jumped 1km towards me.

If i get a mark I suspect will be in the water, i will usually launch seeker, then take a break from the game till it loses track of the target, then launch another. Almost always the target will move closer to a starport, and out of the water.

Err...whenever my mark is stuck in a lake....i swim to it...

Yoyo the sucker out to where you can attack with a pet or droid......drag it to land.....

/attack my uber pet!

/follow me my uber pet!

Well, its a weird bug...but it doesnt mean someone attacked the mark....I am MBH, and usually work out of Deaeric...one time.....I get my bounty and bio sig....go out past the garage to start my probot....start my probot....the usual 20 second.....starts the countdown....5....4....3....2....1....Mission Completed...I can only guess the probot landed on mark....but got the money....and the XP.
