Just wanted to know if anyone thought these were worth it. I see an obvious downside being that you open yourself up to attacks from BH, but if you take say MBH and MDef, you have defenses well into the 300s... or maybe take some defense and lightsaber? I figured drain force might be a good one too, almost like an enhanced CM benefit like instead of stopping their action adn mind regen, you just take their force, lol. Tell me what you guys think. If anyone has tried this, please let me know. I'm dying to know if its worth it. I have no interest in going full temp Jedi, but this may be fun. Thanks.

Hybrids don't work. The only useful hybrid is one contianing cloak, so you can avoid cloning if you can't win the fight.

Master Enhancer:

Doesn't work because it requires alot of Force. With a Hybrid template you have 2800 Force and here are some Force cost examples of Master Enhancer:

- Stasis = 325 Force per use
- Supression (root) = 225 Force per use
- Wave (snare) = 225 Force per use
- Force Run (99% damage reduction on this) = 550 Force per activation
- Improved Force Speed (worse than Adrenalin Boost) = 250 Force per activation

As you can see, 2800 Force will disappear fast. Also, if you want to use Force abilities, you can't wear armor, which means you have to rely on Force Armor, which again further drains your very limited Force.

The only good thing would be Force Shield, which is very powerful versus Force Wielder Attacks.

Master Defender:

Due to the way Lightsabers work, Force Aura has minimal benefit (only 100 difference between minimum and maximum damage, so at best you reduce incoming damage by 100). Valor is useless as it doesn't block melee attacks. Avoid Incap costs 1100 Force and puts a nasty snare on yourself. Armor is wiped out by Armor Break and innate armor cannot be Armor Break sliced. Its also not as good as crafted armor. A Master Defender has 7000 armor - you can get 8000+ crafted armor.

Only good thing would be state resists and the Force Defence versus Force Wielder attacks.

Master Powers:

2nd most broken Jedi discipline. Defender 0040 makes Force Wielder atatcks a joke. Also Force Shield has a similar effect and anyone with Force Feedback and you will basically kill yourself. You would be using breach alot and your 2800 Force would be gone in seconds at 700 Force per use (breach). Force Wielder attacks are also low damage, full of zip bars, slow and cost alot of Force.

Force Healer:

Most useless Jedi discipline. Only thing useful there is Sap and the combat Medic version lasts longer and is a more powerful effect and costs no Force. You also get lots of other very useful skills in Combat Medic. Rest of the healer skills are useless to you because Jedi don't poison, disease or set you on fire. Total Heal has huge Force and mind costs. Again, healer 4000 will wipe out your Force fast. 1 Mastery is simply not enough Force/Force regen to handle combat in the CU unless you can end a fight in under 60 seconds.

Lightsaber:

This would be the best of all the disciplines to use in a hybrid Bounty Hunter build. Problem would be you would lack the healing of Jedi and would die that way because you need to be inr ange of their attacks too if you want to damage them.

Conclusion:

Dabbling in Jedi skills is a waste of time. Don't bother with it, you are either 100% or 0%, there simply isn't any workable template that is 50% Jedi and 50% normal skills.

Forgot to mention, any template that doesn't include Enhancer 0400 or Defender 4400 (or Master Defender) is basically fighting with 2000 rating armor. So if you want to use Force abilities, you're stuck to Master Defender/Master Enhancer templates.

Anything else and you will either die in seconds because of no armor, or will die because you're wearing armor and can't then use Force abilities.

Enhancer 0400 will give you 6000 armor. Defender 4400 will give you 5400 armor and Master Defender will give you 7000 armor.

A hybrid template simply is not viable with the way things work.

The most viable template possible would be something like this:

Master Bounty Hunter
6 Force Sensitive trees
Defender 0040 (for the Force Defence and not Aura)
Healing 4040
Enhancer 0400

This will give you the following:

2700 Force
23 Force Regen (138 Force per minute - 19.5 minutes to regenerate your entire Force bar)
7000 armor (2000 from Initiate, 1000 for Novice Defender and 4000 from Improved Force Armor)
15 State Defence
Force Feedback
Force Defence (this + Feedback are a Force Wielders nightmare)
1500 Heals
Force Infusion

The only benefit I see to this template in regard to killing Jedi is that it will make it easier for you to kill any Jedi that has less skills invested in Jedi than you, but will make anyone with more skills in Jedi than you harder to kill - especially full temnplates. Fights versus full templates are about either draining their mind or Force. Both of these would be out on yourself before the full template Jedi.

EDIT:

Further point:

After a death, Force regen is basically non existant. Without channel or Meditate it well over 20 minutes before you're ready to go again. Even then, if you can regen your Force in udner 30 minutes, the effect stillexists for 30 minutes and multiple deaths stacks the effect. Die 3 times quickly and your Force regen is shot for a good hour and a half.

I see, what about Force Drain? Would it help me defeat a Jedi by taking his force, or would I be better off keeping my CM and draining his mind?

Can you do force aura and drain force while wearing armor? Or does that coutn as a force power... I originally thought you meant offensive stuff, like lightning and KD, but now I'm thinking you may mean all... hmm... let me know... i'm bent on making this work

You can use a lightsaber with armor on though, right??? Thanks for all the help man.

You can't perform any skill that has a Force usage whilst wearing armor. There isn't a single Jedi skill that doesn't use Force, so no Jedi abilities/skills work whilst wearing armor.

Force Drain is on about a 20 second cool down timer. Will take 5 minutes to drain 6K Force from a Jedi and most have at least 6K and alot of those will be able to drain you back and since you only have 2800, you will dry up first.

No. You can't perform any Jedi skill whilst wearing armor.
