Thread: Why do BH run?

Let's just start this off right shall we. Yes, I am a jedi. No, I do not have a BH alt. Flame away.


So this has happened to me a couple times lately. Standing around minding my own business when out of nowhere BOOM Headshot! BH comes for me. Within two minutes both times the BH slaps a root on me and just takes off running. Not talking about kiting here. Talking about getting on his bike and leaving.


And some further honesty, I dont really care for a response. Just want to point out that Jedi are not the only track stars out there. A further point. If you don't want to be hunted don't get on the terms. If you don't want to hunt, DON'T HUNT!.


And let the flame fest begin.

he found out that because the mission system doesnt let you know what level your fighting he cant beat you because your fully templated and decided he would rather leave via his feet then a db.

This really appeals to the sick person in me, just scare the jedi a bit then drop the mission and run Unfortunately not carrying out the contract would ruin a bh's rep so I doubt I will do it any time soon, still an amusing thought , hit a jedi a few times get them prepping up buffing eating food then just drop the mission and run, liking it a lot

Why do jedi run? Why can I never, ever, fight a full-template without having them try to bolt the second I get the upper hand. Where are all the trash-talkers who said they'd stand and fight if I came alone?

I don't understand why anyone would do this to be honest. There is nothing to lose. Maybe some down time to heal wounds I suppose. However, I know plenty of AFK macro docs on my server that will heal wounds so my downtime is not so bad. I have never run from a fight. Never. I've gone against plenty of full template Jedi but I wouldn't run. Sure, they have handed me my behind rather quickly but I'd rather have that happen than knock them down and run. To take a bounty then tag him a few times and run makes no sense to me.

Yea, we run...

edit: i dont really know if its an exploit or not.. I got a reply from a csr that it infact was, but they say all kinds of things. However, I do feel that this should absolutely not be possible. I mean a jedi cant get in a house because of a BH-tef, but they can go to the middle of a lake, and hide there... (oooh.. I also know this is offtopic, but I just had to show this screenie...)

It's simple. BHs have nothing to lose, jedis have a lot to lose. BHs can win a fight, jedis can never win.

EDITn the screeine the BH says running into water is an exploit... Sorry, but this is just lame

errm this topic is about why do BOUNTY HUNTERS run not why Jedi run, weve heard the Jedi run thing lots of times, this topic is about BOUNTY HUNTERS running.


You reply doesnt cut it BH have nothing to lose so they run???


I personally think Jedi Buzzing may just become a new sport, KD bleed critical, drop the mission and run, if yyou cant beat them just plain annoy them till they give up might encourage people to take up more jedi missions, if they know they dont have to sit there and fight it out, they either get a easy jedi kill or just "buzz" them. Annoying as anything for jedi, but then so are Jedi duelling in starports etc etc to bh's.


I really should be old enough not to find "tag you're it" funny but, heck no ones actually getting hurt by this just gets the pulse going, unless of course you find your mark in one of "those" situations where the db is all to easy.


TOTALLY AND UTTERLY out of character for a bouty hunter though.
