Thread: slicing terminal?
Nah, you can do it alone.
The Uplink (terminal for BHs) is the first slice in the base busting process.
I ground out Invest 2-4 slicing terminals solo.
My advice is be on leave and go scouting out bases on various planets. Stay away from anything with Turrets or an SF compound and you should be fine. The factional guards are a bit much to try to kill all of them, but there are ways around that.

Actually to completely destroy the base you need a BH, Smug, Commando, Bio-E, and Squad Leader.

Base terminals you need A Bh only to jam. Base take down you need A BH,Smuggler,BE,Squadleader.
To slice a Terminal you need Smuggler. this would be non base terminals as in to Get a higher payout.

Yes, you can do it solo. Look for the "Uplink" terminal. It is yellow.
Make sure the turrets are gone before going in.
Just click on the terminal and use the radial menu. You will understand after the first try. Remember, you are "Jamming the Uplink", not sliceing it.

Oh and the basic How to:
1.) Get inside the base
2.) Find the uplink
3.) Use the uplink
a.) Scan for carrier frequency
b.) You will get a pop-up box, pick number 5
c.) It will tell you that you feel like you need to search higher or lower; if higher pick 7, higher again 9 etc. If lower follow suit with 3 then 1
4.) Eventually it will tell you that you narrowed the carrier frequency down to X and it will pop-up another box for jamming the uplink.
a.) This involves the exact same process as described in #s 3b-3c.
5.) You will get a system messege telling you that you have Jammed the uplink and pocketed 1000 Investigation XP.
6.) High-tail it out of there.
