PSGs only protect you against Energy weapons. No kinetic and no Elemental damage. ever.

PSGs only protect against ranged weapons. Not Lightsabers or Vibroknucklers or other energy melee weapons.

Imperial Prototype PSGs are the best I think, they should have around 2000 protection on energy.

Where you can get a reliable supply? Well depends on your server, try the trade forum?

I tested PSG's with a jedi, not only did it not work against a sabre, I was using an energy gun , and we tested it equipped / unequipped , and it made no difference whatsover against the jedi.

I have doubts as to wether these work at all, or if they just work against NPC's.

PSG's do not block melee damage. Only range. In a fight against a Jedi you will see no protection.

I know, what i meant was.......... i tested the PSG against the jedi, and also he tested it against me,

IE

He wore a PSG , i shot him it did 400 dmg,

He unequipped his PSG , i shot him it did 400 dmg.

with an energy gun

Then vice versa, Neither made a difference

Did you check the condition of the PSG? perhaps it was broken already.
Also a PSG takes a few minutes after equiping till it reaches full power.

nope doesn't work

PSG's give no protection against a LS, however if you buy the imperial prototype's they give you plus 10 ranged accuracy.

pre-cu psg's in some cases do not wotk.. ..that is what I have found. I have several from way back that the charge never goes down as they stay @ 100% BUT do not actually do anything. I also have a pre-cu upgrade one that it does go down like normal, has the stat mods +10 / +10 but does not work either.

However my post-cu psg @ 2401 works for 100% sure.. ..
