I agree about having other "alpha classes" but rather than just 2 of them (jedi and BH guild ) there should be many with a wide variety of PvE and Pvp or even crafter abilites...
My personal opinion is that if a BH took as long to grind out aalpha classBH template as i did on my jedi (pre 9 unlock)...and he smoked me in combat...i wouldnt be upset in the least
But all this Jedi hating and BH griefing has got to end...and us bickering at each other isnt going to solve anything...as i said earlier ...SOE has control over what we become in our chosen profession...so take your arguments to your correspondents as we do to ours....
and we can try to effect real change...

for what i've learned from reading these boards, These guys don't even care. from my personal prospective , SOE brought jedi in the game to be Their content. Bh's actually enjoy greifing jedi. it's there passion in life and is probably the only reason they play this game now. I try not to hate but i can't trust anyone in this game now. Bh's to me are becoming the scum of swg. we don't go out of our way to greif them but they hunt us endlessly. This is why we hate them. They hate us becouse?! er.. we are jedi! ya thats a good reason!, We effect the GCW? I havn't seen a Rebel vs imperial fight in forever. I dono, i just really don't know..
I however do in fact hate Jedi. The main problem with the entire gameplay mechanics of the Galactic Civil War are a direct result of Jedi; take a look at any overt PvP event. The side with the most Jedi will win, reducing the overt combat of SWG to a bunch of rag tag street gangs of regulars who only tag alongwith no real participation.The Jedi are too powerful and too high in number, and as a result, being Special Forces truly means nothing if you are an elite professionb. As a Bounty Hunter, it is my job to effectively curb this threat to the gameplay, starting with the @sshats first.

As long as there is an alpha class there will be hate...thank goodness jedi is being balanced into the system!

On the other hand, you may see some posts in the jedi forum about BH's but it's a very different tone. It's not about wishing grief on the BH or wishing for the ruin of the BH profession. If you see a post about BH's on the jedi forum, 90% of the time its by a padawan who's feeling tormented by constant attacks and just wishes he could play in peace. He's not hoping the BH profession dies out. He's not hoping the BH gets weaker, he's not hoping for grief on the BH. All he's saying in his thread is that he's tired of being a BH's main source of content.
Jedi kill BH's all the time. Yet does every other thread on the jedi forum consist of bragging about how they did it and laughing at the screenshots of BH's laying on the ground? No. Instead you see posts from jedi whining about problems with the profession. Some of the whines are stupid but there a good percentage of the complaints are valid. And there are also on a daily basis alot of threads in the jedi forum that submit ideas about how to solve the problems. Do BH's acknowledge that? For the most part, no. Instead Bh's make threads about jedi whining to fuel more hate but they don't bother to unbiasly discuss what it was they saw jedi whine about. In fact they know about the hardships of jedi and mock them. Then BH's whine about "exploits" the jedi use against them. Against them? Running into houses, into lakes, escaping int friend's vehicles, etc. All of these are desperate tactics to get away from being content for another player. We pay the same fee as everyone else everymonth and yet we're being hated for not wanting to entertain 4 dudes who want to us to fight them at once whenever they get the urge to pvp with a one sided benefit?
Why are jedi spending their time trolling the forums? As sad as it is, this is our content. What else do we have? You BH's think that jedi should be no stronger than a normal profession. Ok, but then whats our reward for the grind? We have no jedi specific content, you want us out of the GCW, and the only thing we gained is being able to tank something twice as good as a normal character. Take that away and what's left for us? Like someone above me already posted, the general attitude from BH's is "who cares,not my problem and I'm having fun so shutup and make yourself available when I feel like fighting you with my 2 buddies".
I personally don't hate BH's or any other profession but with what I just explained, it's not so hard to see why a jedi might have ill feelings toward tthe BH profession.
1. The first Gen bh took a hell of alot longer then jedi to grind. Sorry thats the truth period. We are talking 5 months plus for six hours a day. Nothing was given no big reward. Infact all the rewards were taken or were pointless. So when any first gen BH hears jedi whineing about this stuff its kind of annoying. MBH was the original jedi grind of its day, and all you got was a title. So please its been pointed out to jedi hundreds of times, but that conflicts with jedi dogma and usually gets ignored.
2. Jedi tend to get alot more attention per issue then any other character class. Some professions have languished for over a year with no new content, or content that is generally so very flat and worthless it is really a slap in the face when Jedi get entire publishes, and every publish has a huge batch of content. Its not just BHs that are hateing jedi. Its the CH with no pet specials and being told by devs that their profession is supposed to be PVE. Its the smuggler who still cannot smuggle. Its the architect who still hasnt gotten a new structure to build. Its the scout who has not seen any content upgrade for over a year and a half. Camps worthless traps worthless and foraged food a joke. When you see one class get alot of attention and your starveing for it you can see how that generates malice.
3. The often made quote jedi are 1.5 times better. Followed by the jedi saying the devs made it that way or want it that way. Thats a load. For one jedi were supposed to be rare the devs wanted it that way. Jedi was supposed to be a year plus grind the devs wanted it that way. Jedi were supposed to be invisible because death was not an option the devs wanted it that way. The jedi was supposed to be killed with ease by a BH until they were high up the devs wanted it that way. What happened marketing and alot of jedi crying. The old jedi mind trick. The jedi system is totally contrary to the original intent.
4. The jedi system from hologrind to the village has generally been a detriment to the game. From destoying community values faction loyalties and city defenses city planning city raiding large group hunting and dungeoning. The hologrind made the economy melt down, and created alot of solo mentality. From the guy afk killing meatlumps for crystals to the guy selling quality resourceing for grinding out five professions.
5. A general oppinion in the jedi or their own supperiority. Once again pointing to the grind as a sign of how good they are. Not all jedi but just enough to annoy.
6. Jedi paranoia has destroyed more friendships then the black death. Nothing like a guy who is totally self absorbed and totally scared to annoy the hell out of you. Generally agree the whole bounty system here is borked. Not in the way you think jedi should not be allowed lots or even the ability to enter private structures. AFK macros should be gone aswell as the force runs. When your paranoia dosent get you squat and just minimal precautions is what you need so many jedi would not be so paranoid of their fellow player.
7. The jedi perception of the grind being a right is also a big problem. Part of the grind is dealing with BHs its the part that makes it more diificult.
8. Lastly the amount of dumb cheating going on. Unless a BH hacks the system in some way the truth is most BHs do not cheat. Fight a little dirty or dark yes. If a BH catches you cold or tricks you in some way the BH is being smart not exploiting. If a jedi is hideing in a house or in the water or useing spam to deny a BH a chance at an even fight thats cheating. It seems that atleast half the jedi now exploit as a rule instead of playing an even handed game. Kudos to those that play fair its the cheaters that are getting by easy and makeing your lives harder thats a problem.
Those are my list of gripes decided to ignore the inbalance and cannon issues. Since thats never conducive.
a lot of hate might come from the jedi forums where every other thread is how "we spent millions of credits and were forced to grind out 32 professions so we deserve to be the toughest profession in the game" too...
No one forced Jedi to do it...they made the choice to do it. FOTM types flocked to Jedi...those types are not the most well liked people in the game which can lead to hate too...
Me personally...I have met and have a lot of Jedi and BH friends. There are a holes in every profession...
