Howdy all.
I just saw the new ads that SOE put out. I've heard that they were miss leading and after seeing them I'd agree. Someone who hasn't played SWG before and sees the ad will be expecting something different than what they endup getting. First off it looks like you can be any race including Jawa, Tusken and Nautolan (which leads me to beleive that they may include this race in the next expansion.) Not to mention they made it look more like the game is quest based more like a RPG game like KOTOR than the free based SWG that it is, which can have it's good and bad aspects.
These are just my initial thoughts after just seening the ads.
I'd be interested in hearing from any other points of veiw on this especialy anyone who bought the game after seeing the ad.

I havent seen it, but im sure that pretty much all ads are miss leading. But i certanily did think swg was different when i looked at the "welcoming" site than it really was in the game.

and they are going to break this game even more lol
all they are advertising is their alpha class, least that all I can see in every picture, what about hte other 32 profressions?
I think they lost a bunch of vets lately, I honestly beleive they picked up lots of noobs to replace all thos vets but still. What's up with all the commericals?

it was misleading as every other charecter on the commercial was a jedi.... oh wait nm every other charecter in swg is now a jedi

That and every type of armor we saw was faction based armor. I mean do you know how hard it is to get faction armor, not to mention that they showed people wearing Mando armor which is now impossible to get.

they also showed some race I've never seen a person play in teh game, as a Jedi never the less
the commerical was an insult to every single person who plays this game and a lie to everyone who was thinking about it after seeing those lame arse commericals

oh i just saw it...yea it looks so much more fun in the ads eh. And where did that "kit fisto" race come from??? Didnt know you could play it. But of course its like what we've been saying..its misleading.

I'm looking forward to all the newbs though. I kinda like helping people out with how the game works. Makes me feel good after a long day of trolling on the threads.

LOLSomeday some of those newbs will be very helpful as our pawns in this game. 
I will probably find some newbs, grind them up and tell them to loot me BH armor. LOL
I will pwn! I have foreseen it.

No it isn't, a Mando helm was crafted on Chimaera the other day.

well its not like they were gonna show some type of boring armor like bone armor or something.

LOL I wonder who owned the helmet. A whole guild. LOL that still cracks me up. I dont know how a whole guild can have ownership over one item. If I were the original owner of the BH pieces or schematics those mando pieces would be mine.

What game is that in those advertisements?! I wanna play that. Looks good
hehe one thing that's totally messed up is the AT-AT. I've been playing for 2 years and have never seen one. For the most part the ads aren't that bad, they're just trying to show off the stuff that will get people interested. Their greatest crime is how damn corny they are, especially the one's with the nerds talking about how they're able to talk to Chewbacca and stuff.

Wasnt there mention from one of the "actors" err i mean players in the ad that they got to meet Yoda? Hrmmmmm.
