Thread: template opinions

I'm toying with the idea of trying this template on my now Master Gunfighter. My aim is to be a decent all-rounder - I don't only PvP, I don't only PvE, I don't only solo, I don't only group, so I need to be a solid (if not stunning) part of each scenario.


Master Gunfighter


Fencer 4-4-40


TKA 4-0-0-0


Medic 3-1-0-0 (need to be able to heal myself decently solo)


Scout 1-0-1-0 (I have a pure crafter BE - I need to get her meat somehow!)


So, am I totally off the wall, or is there something in this? (Please don't just paste a thread link - I've looked through them. They don't answer my needs )

This sounds like a good mix to me. Until the last few days I've been Master Fencer/Master TK/Pistoleer 0040, and I found in PVP that the main people who could beat me were BH/Pistoleers with good Geo blasters. Either Torso shot or Eyeshot, and they just kite to stay out of range.


I'm trying a new mix now, Master Fencer, Teras Kasi 4400, Smuggler 0040, Pistoleer 0344, Novice Medic.


I'm hoping to get accuracy and speed from the Pistoleer boxes, to use Low Blow to ranged KD and close on them to pull out the stun baton. If they don't KD I can use Last Ditch or Fan Shot while chasing them.

This will work if your just looking to be "solid".

So because he dabbles in medic and scout (in order to make his char more well rounded and efficient at what he likes to do) he is




just looking to be "solid".





I think you should drop that all and go combat medic, rifleman, TKA... or whatever is better than "solid"... you gotta be the uberest man.

Nyk i think shes a girl man. Oh yeah like that template but to be a good solid all around player just master tka and doc. Or if u need meat for your BE tka/ranger i like the 2nd one better but gunfighter isnt really a good all around prof its really not a very good prof at all but mostly people use it for its mods in pvp.

i was just playing around with the template maker just wasting time but made an interesting template i would like to get your opinions on


BH 3/0/4/0, TKM, Commando 0/0/4/0

If you are going for TKM ditch the pistol tree and commando, it is pretty much useless unless you dabble in the right area's, maybe try some fencer defense to stack the offs more into your favour possibly.

ok how about BH 3/0/0/0, M fencer and commando 0/0/4/0, the only reason i'm adding commando flame thrower is i hear it's good against jedi something abotu fire damage but maybe i was reading it wrong

The flame tree is too slow (one special every 8 seconds with no chance of defending in that time = bad) Master fencer would be a good choice also, I think TK would be better, higher DPS with a bit of the fencer defenses though, and you also get the dizzy/kd and blind specials with knockdown 2 and unarmed hit 3

Im thinking MLS enhancer 4004 healing 4004 and defender 4000


What do think about this template and what r the good and bads about it?

i would suggest


master saber

4004 healer

4000 defender

4003 enhancer

and novice brawler


but the above mentioned template is good but you have13extra skill points to use in other skills
