Thread: LETS FACE IT!
Chef is the only profession dedicated ENTIRELY to buffs, and yet it has the worst buffs in the game.
Doctor buffs are bliss compared to our buffs. Rangers can out forage our foods anyway.
However, doesn't it make sense that Doctors would be the ones to buff stats? To boost your immunity, and thus your health's integrity?
So I propose that foods buff skill modifiers. Mask Scent +10, Rifle Accuracy +5, et cetera. Of course, this would change the game A LOT, but it would become a part of the game. Let Doctors keep stat buffs, let rangers forage stat-buffing foods as they do now, and let chefs make skill buffing food. Would this nerf any other class? I'm sure doctors would still get stat buffs, and perhaps you could even increase THOSE. As long as chef's have skill buffs, they will fill the chef niche, as will Doctors yet get business on their buffs. Way I see it, though it would probably send us into turmoil over how buggy the next patch would be on this, its a win-win situation
Everyone would be happy that the game has been enriched with skill buffing(foods), and more-so chefs would be too!
Actually, that is a good idea.
You could take it one step further, by adding skill mods to the current stat mods. So that food/drink buffs a little, but also adds to the skill pool.
I think this would totally revamp the class, and bring new life to it.
