Thread: Enough is enough.
I preach patience. Anyone who's read my posts can attest to this. I am running thin on this particular resource though, and it's not necessarily because I am "weaker" than before.
I've been MCH for a while now, a long time considering the infantile stage of the game, and I would hope that my views might be just as valid as any other pained player.
What bothers me is not the certs, not the near uselessness of mastering the CH profession, but the constant changes.
No, pets should never have healed fully from an instant spent in the datapad. No, novices should not have been able to call the most powerful pets. No, masters should not be able to control three of the most powerful pets. Okay, fine. We've addressed the biggest issues with this class, as far as balancing power. But it does not stop.
Someone at SOE has a grudge against the CH profession, that is the only explanation I can think of for the constant abuse. It is no longer balancing, it is abuse. Day after day we log on and find we've become weaker, our utility benefits decreased, while more and more bugs are introduced.
Holo you said we must be patient with you, that it takes time to make the game fairly balanced, and with this I agree, but where is your patience with us? You cannot judge whether a patch was effective after two days of live play. Stop, I beg of you, and let others advance, let bugs be fixed, let people calm down their explosive tempers towards the previously godlike Creature Handlers, and then decide if more changes should be made.
Maybe you think we complain because we're all power mongerers, and you've yanked the magic carpet out from beneath our feet, but most of us are simple gamers. We like pets, we especially like animals and the idea of training and maintaining them rather than summoning a level 65 ball of fire from a malachite chip.
You are under staffed, and some, if not most, of us understand that. What we don't understand is why your severely understaffed crew is spending so much time nerfing one class when there are much more pertinent issues to address. This is a warning, though I'm sure it will be burried in a few moments. If you continue on your path you will lose far more than one player every few days. This board will shift from spammed complaints to spammed fairwell letters, because that is the only way we can let you know just how many of us you're upsetting. I was happy, now I'm worried.
And, on a side note, the AT ST was invulnerable? Gurrecks are too powerful in PvE? I invite you to Scylla, to witness the duels I've set up between my friends and my pets. If that's the only way to show you the gamer's perspective then please come down, we'll have some jawa beer, and I'll explain to you why that Teras Kasi just came out of a fight with a gurreck that is far superior to any found in the wild, and does not require healing.
1. I agree 100% with your post
2. How can they balance this game when according to Raph's interview only 1 to 2 % of players are masters.
3. I don't buy the excuse that they are understaffed this game rakes in over $1,875,000 a month that's not including sales of the cd's
4. This dev team has showed us that they would rather take an easy fixed then actually fix this game. Look at corpses. Look at missions. Look at the fact that instead of fixing the broken classes they over kill the ones that were "ok" even with the bugs that have been here since beta2.
I'm so close to give up on this game.
I'm master CH and will get to master pistoleer tonight.
First the CH class get's nerfed to hell and back and then they destroy the KD for my other profession.
As i see it all these problems is within the fact that the game is a PVP and PVE mixed game.Impossible to balance out.
No game has so far succeeded in making a good PVP and PVE enviroment and it does not look like SWG is going to make it.
People scream nerfs in PVP but whe nthose nerfs hit us, our PVE envimoments is taking seroius damage so that mobs gets a lot harder to fight.
K,so they "fix" the ch's and put certs and creature levels in,
Cool that's totally cool with me, and it should have been there from the start cause then wewould not have all this CH nerfscreaming.
What i can't live with is they remove pet regeneration so that we are forced into the medic profession and what i can't live with is that we as a CH master have a CL 70 penalty but imperials can have 3 level 125 AT-ST's out at same time PLUS their prepatch probot PLUS their CH pets.
Talk about making rebels bend over.
But in short.
PVP and PVE enviroment does not mix good cause they mess up eachother.
Next game for me will be one without PVP.
Horizons 28th Oktober.
And i really really really hoped for SWG to be the game that would keep me atleast a couple of years, i have followed it over 2 years and been a huge fanboi myself but i must say things sure has changed for me.
Anyway, he's right. I'd rather have BH as a standalone CL 80 profession like it was back in the olden days, than to see another smuggler/medic/whatever take a nerf-bullet for me because some jerks are too dumb to handle a glowstick.

Honestly if you want MBH to cost 236SP then they need to throw in alot of other skills in the MBH tree for combat as well as some healing skills.
Actually, allowing Stim E's for CL80 with 1500 heals would probably be enough. Or allowing a reduced timer on Stims. I am all for allowing more skills for BH's, trust me. I have one of those too, but my wifes CL10 dancer... all she has is healing to save her when she gets in trouble. (usually wild spawns around the house). That skill got nerfed because devs ALLOWED BH to dabble. That isnt fair to the other professions who have nothing to do with BH.
