Thread: The Incap Slide & DB timer Needs to be looked at.

I am sick and tired of my marks sliding away when I incap them. I make sure I am right up on them too when they get low on health. Lost another mark today because of it. He slide away and I got the db off and it was to the top and he gets up. And what do you know, my shots miss miss miss to try and incap him again.
This thing needs some serious adjusting because this crap is getting old. 3 out of my last 4 marks I incapped slid away and the timer wouldnt finish. And trying to incap them again is a pain when they are master defenders. If you miss your screwed. They need to make the db range bigger and fix the slide.

luckily the incap timers give you 1-2 seconds of leeway to get the deathblow off

I agree, this sucks. There's nothing worse than defeating a mark only to lose to the db timer. Can't they just increase the incap time? I know Tanks has said that the Devs really like the timer on the db,but why can't theyincrease theincap timer?

The slide is from server latency, has been here since launch (I remember sliding from my cantina chair to the stage. Fun!) and will likely never go away.
The easiest fix? Just allow for death-blow to be dealt from 20 or so meters.

then we wouldn't walk right up to the jedi and get killed as soon as he stands up and fully heals himself(or herself).

we'd be too far away, the jedi would actually have to move a bit to kill us then, so probably not gonna happen.

u should be able to move and DB at the same time. I dont know what was happening last night but i was trying to DB a mark and it would finish but I wouldnt get the DB off, I would do this twice then he would stand up and I would just incap him again. I got the kill and all but I think my character would animate and ruin my DB.

Another reason why "no movement during warm-up" doesnt work.
I know DEVs play SWG on a local server. To test andso on.And I bet they dont have any lag-issues there (perfect ping, no lag due to "low" population).
But it doesnt work on live servers!!! With nearly no single special that has a warm-up!

yet another reason that a) this alleged qa department is pretty much useless and b) the reason that publish20 came out
