Can anyone enlighten me as to what this is? Looks like something for the Appearance Armor, but I have no idea what?

It's a component that an armorsmith can use to make armor. Each piece of armor (biceps, bracers, helmet, chestplate, and leggings) takes at least one armor core. Helmets and leggingsrequire two, and chestplatesrequire three to make. There are three types of armor cores (Assault, Battle, and Recon) and three levels of each type (Basic, Standard, and Advanced). The stats on the armor cores are generally somewhat lower than the stats would be if the core were used in a finished piece of armor. I'm assuming that you looted the cores off of an NPC mark, and it sounds like you have a stack of 8.
