Energy Recon, of course!

I would say an energy layered composite or a kinetic layered recon is the best. Or battle. You don't know what they're gonna pull on you, and if they pull a striker pistol when you're wearing 3800 kin armor, well, it ain't pretty.

But energy recon is the best for anti-Jedi.

It would have to be really bad recon for the energy to be worse than Composite.

Can you have a straight 6k composite suit?

I don't believe it's possible. Maybe if you had some really uber components, but I'm not sure.

The point isn't which one has better Energy Resistance but rather which one would have better overall defense versus both damage types. The NPC marks (which is what he's asking about) vary their weapons between Kinetic based and Energy based so your best bet is to take a middle ground when squaring off against them. As was mentioned earlier though - if you want balanced you'd need to find Assault or Recon Armor that has been tailored towards something it's not supposed to be (Recon built with kinetic resistance or Assault built with energy resistance). Of course your best bet is to go with some Battle Armor that has 6000+ resists to both but I'm judging from the original post that you don't have Battle certifications.

Then die a horrible, bloody death when your NPC mission starts shooting you with his FWG5.

nah a full template jedi don't kill me so easy and i heal me at least 1.5k. healing effiency tapes on my recon armor and general ranged speed and the fs tree's
