I was wondering what people thought the most effective template would be for hunting the high level NPC boss marks. Do you even need MBH to get the best ones? *Confession* My main is a jedi(as you can see in my sig), and I have my token respec on my alt so I can switch to any template.I was thinking something like the template below, but I have not done ANY bounty hunting yet so feedback will be appreciated. By the way I am really enjoying the break from my jedi... You guys constantly hunting me is STRESSFULL! But thanks for keeping it interesting.

I am MBH/MRifle/Pistol xxx3, Marksman 44x4. I have faced 3 of the 35k bosses, and was incapped a total of once. And that was because I was aggro'd by Klikniks. WIth high resist armor, and kiting 60 meters, I have had no problem staying healed while fighting them. They do hit hard when they hit, but with duelist stance, and synthsteak, I seem to do well.

Any temp can be effective with a droid. However, I have MBH, MCM, carb x4xx. and have never had a boss get me below 1/2 health, so know that is not needed.

Why?

All bosses will used ranged shot if your shot from 20+meters out.... If you are not shooting the entire time in the prone for the added accuracy and def. then you need to do such... it makes a huge difference!!!

TIP: Almost every NPC is caribener and will shot an area shot. If having problems and around creatures put you back to the creatures and they will agro the boss

CM 4000

I dont know how many SP I would have left, but I think this gives some good damage mitigation from BH, good damage from Rifles, and good healing from CM. Feedback (and flame I guess) away!

Being a Bounty Hunter has always been about 2 things. Gear and preparation. I am a long time MBH and now Master Smuggler. I can go toe to toe with the 36K Boss Marks simply spamming Advanced Critical. How you ask? This is my gear:

Armor - Maxed against Energy, strong against Kinetic - 10000 combined is the most you can have and will mitigate 60%

• 8000 Quad Layer Ubese (for energy)


• 8000 Quad Layer Composite (for kinetic)


• 2000+ PSG (most are around 1921 but I happened to find this one)

• 823 MDPS Scatter - 66 Sac (not the best but does the job) - Kinetic


• 818 MDPS Kas Stalker - 75 Sac (again I'm sure there are better out there but I like it) - Energy


• 823 MDPS FWG - 76 SAC (just for when I want something different) - Kinetic


• A bunch of other weapons like ADV Laser Rifle, 12% Speed sliced Proton Carbine

Food and Drugs

• Neuron Pixie


• Synthsteak (Which I use to dig me out of a hole)


• +53 Dodge Food


• +98 Ranged Defense


• Brandy


• 1155 Stim Ds

Winning is all about going into battle prepared and having the right gear. Trust me, I know that there is better stuff out there but with this gear I have been able to beat every Boss mark (about 10 double gold total) without breaking a sweat. Best loot so far is a SEA that had a +10 LS Experimentation that just sold for 26 million on the forums, thta type of one time loot will keep me geared up for a while.

Thanks for all the responses. I am really excited to get into the BH profession. (It is grueling getting 1000 xp per kill with my alt, CL 15 argh!) But grinding my jedi has more than prepped me for that.

Jaxon, thanks for covering the equipment side as well. I haven't had to deal with armor since the CU so I will have to talk to my guildies AS. I have a pretty decent Adv Laser Rifle that I think will do the job starting me off. And Pixie and Brandy are the foods that I used to use as well. Might need some blob candy as well (action food I believe). I am hoping to finish off one of my masteries tonight.

Excellent guide, thank you. My alt has been levelling up Merchant fordays so I can token respec her to MBH and get me some of that shiiiny new lewt. It's been a gruelling grind, let me tell you -- having to keep hitting Refresh, mastering the intricacies of the/paymaint command, all that xp rolling in offline. The humanity, the humanity...

But I have a couple questions.. I can't find the "Open Scattergun" radial so I can put in the crystals??Do I get better elemental damage by using a "Jango's Head" named colour crystal (for those who haven't seen it, it's "saberenvy green")? Ranged weapons.. how uncivilized . Oh, and what is this "armour" you speak of? Can I equip it with my BH robes? And do those robes look good with a sunguard hat (a very stylish and necessary piece of fashion, obviously)?

Ah, that makes sense then.. But last I heard that quest was temporarily removed from the game while the BH King was off hunting Pub21 loot.

I recommend using the "Corpse of Greedo" crystal - it does Acid damage and has green bolts

Oh, mannnn... !! Idestroyed my "Corpse of Greedo" crystal, it was starting to smell real bad.

Ranged weapons.. how uncivilized . - We first tried water guns but the wookies kept getting pissed b/c of the matted fur

And do those robes look good with a sunguard hat (a very stylish and necessary piece of fashion, obviously)? - Much like the customized Scatter, the Robes are a loot only item. I have not found them yet, but I heard that you have to start the quest but visiting Boba Fett, he will then send you to grave of Jango, after digging up his corpse the severed head tells you where to go...but you are then jumped by 15 Jedi who will kill you instantly...still trying to figure that one out...I guess I may have to group

They were probably upset that they still can't wear their FRS robes.

Okay, thanks to everyone. I think I have all the info I need. Now just have to get out there and grind tonight and tomorrow.

Jaxon, I wasn't worried about it at all. This isn't even a game, this is just the forums for a game so no worries. I just wanted to know if I should close the post because some people were mad that another jedi alt would be entering their profession. Which would be completely understandable.

Anyway I will hopefully see some of you at the Kadaara BH term, and I will be sure to pester you with all sorts of other n00b BH questions. Good hunting.
