1. I don't ever want to drop MCM. (I'm a roll player... it's my thing.) So I'm looking at MCM/MBH/rest tied up in FS. Is this any good? I usually get my butt kicked in pvp, but i'm afraid to give up my pistoleer.
If you're getting your butt kicked in PvP it probably has more to do with your PvP skills then template.
2. Why are so many of you CM's? What is it that you like about CM that most of you have it in your BH templates?
MCM = UbEr healing and nice DoT/de-buffs
3. Can I survive in pve/pvp without my blessed recoveries, and root?
KD recover is the only one you need and, as OrizCore said, you get that one at Novice Marksmen. Root is nice but isnt all that necessary... You still have a root in MCM but it breaks on damage (paralyze)
Help? Any wisdom you all knowings can impart would be very, very, appreciated.
Learn how to play your template! This means more then knowing your specials... It means knowing the right combos... what works best and when... It also means having +25 speed and acc AA/CA among others... You need to make sure you have high end guns and dont be afraid to PuP em (nice to ADK them first). BH in and by itself has a ton of little tricks of the trade... Knowing how to write macros (nothing fancy) is a must! You want to know how to macro your bomb droid to attack your target clicking one button and you want to know you can pull more bomb droid *in* combat if they are crated... Again, tons of little tricks.
A MBH/MCM is a very potent opponent WHEN THE PLAYER KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING. This is the case with any template however... There are some Jedi for instance that are nearly impossible to kill while another Jedi with the same template goes down in 15 secs.
Thanks for the ideas you guys... I have been playing my MCM/Mpistols template for over two years. I feel that I know it very well, and have many macros, some complex, some simple. I like to pvp, I just don't do it enough, and I'm afraid that my lack of experience, even with the years I have playing hurts me when I do pvp. Also, since my combat experience is limited to pretty much mcm and master pistols, I feel that my ignorance in other combat profs is a huge disadvantage too.
For the record, about 99% of my pvp deaths occur to either a jedi, or 3-5 players ganging up on me. I think it's been over a year since I died to a non-jedi profession. This is why I have asked for advice, if I'm going to go BH, I wanted to know if doing it was just MBH and MCM was doable, or if I was gonna get wiped all the time by these jedi.
Money is no issue, I have been a master crafter with my alt for years as well, and I make too much money... hehe. I already have full ADKed weapons and armor, with +24/25 AA/SEA's.
Thanks again for the advice, if there's anything else you peeps can tell me that would help, it would be appreciated.
Thanks again!

Not all at once but start savingWithout the AA/CA and UbEr weapons and armor (with ADKs) you're not going to stand much of a chance against Jedi and in PvP you will still probably get owned a lot.
Highly agree here.
BH is not a cheap profession by any stretch..at least if you want to hunt Jedi that is...And on top of spending boat loads of cash on weapons, armor, etc, you STILL have to work on your pvp skills...The nice thing about the CU compared with before (see also, action fire janta knife) is that money now doesn't guarantee success in pvp.
