In January of 2004 I unlocked my Jedi and loaded into Tatooine and began my quest to reach full template. As I type this, I am finally wrapping up my last box as a full template Jedi. In almost two years with a Jedi, I have been hunted a total of five times and have lost the last two fights. I always played the old school way with Jedi, stay hidden, never let it out I'm a Jedi and it turned out to make my RP experience better then ever. It made my Star Wars experience better then ever.

In my first three fights, two went on for over ten minutes and it was ten minutes of the best PVP I've ever experienced. Trading blows, HAM dropping on me, going back up then his HAM going down. Move and counter move, who could out think the other first, who would miss a heal first. Would my lower level Jedi be able to defeata Master Bounty Hunter? My key board not being where I expected attack buttons to be in the adrinaline rush.

In the old days, the risk of losing an entire box was the biggest thrill for me. In the new system, moving around the galaxy wondering when the attack would come where I would have to kill maybe one of the best Bounty Hunters around, or a new Bounty Hunter trying to make his tick marks on his rifle. Or when that attack would come, and I would give the bow of respect to the man, woman or alien who tried to take my life. It was the most Star Wars experience I've ever had in this game.

I want to send a respectful thank you to the five Bounty Hunter's I've fought. And all of the Bounty Hunters who were out there every night, quietly doing their thing. Putting it on the line and hauling it back in keeping the Jedi population at bay. Scaring the robes off us and doing it in the shadows with the quiet predatory skills even the GCW couldn't match in this game. Bounty Hunters verses Jedi is a unique breed, that until it is experienced in its truest form in game one cannot compare it to regular PVP. The thrill and risk of loss is what made my Jedi experience something I'll never be able to match in any game.

From a Sith Agent, /bow4 .... Losing the chance of that one attack coming out of the blue is probably one of the saddest experiences I'm going to have if I keep playing.

May the Dark Side be with each and every Bounty Hunter out there. You are Star Wars in its purest form, and thank you.

Returns /bow4

One of those faceless scums who hid in the shadows living the life of Boba Fett or Dengar just as you probably lived the life of Kenobi or Brakiss.

A sad day indeed.

"There was lots of reading, much too much, in the game. There was a lot of wandering around learning about different abilities. We really needed to give people the experience of being Han Solo or Luke Skywalker rather than being Uncle Owen, the moisture farmer. We wanted more instant gratification: kill, get treasure, repeat. We needed to give people more of an option to be part of what they have seen in the movies rather than something they had created themselves."

One of the reasons I wanted to become a Jedi was for this purpose, you didn't know when or where they might strike and then when they did strike, you get (with a good BH) a great 10 or so minute PvP fight for great fun. Oh well, I geuss no one has considered some of the things we thought were great in this game to be important enough to keep. I am working hard right now grinding to get my jedi temp'd before this upgrade so I hope to either lose/win to some of you BH out their as my xp loss will no longer be a concern before the cu2.
