Thread: My Bounty Hunter

After reading some threads about bounty hunters and jedi, I've made some personal rules and guidelines to follow as I make my way up the bounty hunter skill trees.

1) Stay un-aligned. This way, no matter what Jedi mission I get from the terminal, I don't hurt myself faction wise.

(this one is moot. Missions, apparently, are listed as rebel, imperial or neutral.)

2) When I accept a jedi mission, I'll go at it with the mindset that the Jedi is also a real person, playing an account that he or she is paying monthly for. If the Jedi plays honorably, I will return that favor and play honorably myself. If I am truly impressed with the way the Jedi fights and behaves toward me, I may even forego the DB and save the fight for another day. After all, isn't the hunt supposed to be more fun than the actual kill?

3) If i see a friend listed on the terminal, I'll let that friend know that he or she has a price on his or her head, and either a) ask if they'd like me to take them out to save them the worries of being hunted, and share the reward with him or her, or b) let them know when their name is removed from the terminal, thereby warning them that someone is actively looking for him or her.

(this one is moot. Missions, apparently, are listed as rebel, imperial or neutral.)

4) When I go after a Jedi mark, I will not complain if the Jedi uses tactics that guarantee his or her own survival. If that Jedi sees the need to utilize a vehicle to escape, then that's their prerogative. It's fair, andI might end up doing the same thing at some point in my career.

5) When browsing the terms for Jedi missions, I wil go for the Jedi who'se names are on my personal list first. These are the high lvl Jedi who find it neccessary to DB teen and single digit CLs just because they're easy prey. Using the excuse "he was combatant of the opposite faction so he was fair game" doesn't fly with me. It may have been that that low CL was combatant simply to obtain a faction perk, or was attempting a faction quest, and wasn't looking for pvp. But these jedi don't take that into consideration. The low CLs that they kill present a threat to them, so they take them out without remorse. These are the Jedi I will set my sights on first.

(this one is moot. Missions, apparently, are listed as rebel, imperial or neutral.)

6) When I lose a fight to a Jedi, I wil do so with dignity. Sure, I'll be upset, but I'll know that I did my best to defeat him or her. And I will also know that the Jedi that defeated me was better than I, and will have gained my respect. That doesn't mean that I won't try again though

7) If I accept a jedi mission and when I track that Jedi, and find him or her in a vulnerable position to begin with, I will make contact with that Jedi and let him or her know that I am there to collect a bounty, but I will not engage that Jedi in combat. I will wait for the Jedi to regain his or her strength, and then try again. By doing this, I will, hopefully, gain the respect of that Jedi as an honorable Bounty Hunter.

If by following these rules and guidelines I end up hurting my career as a Bounty Hunter, then so be it. I'm not doing this for the credits. I'm doing it to earn a reputation.

This is my own personal Code Of Conduct.

For the most part those are good rules. But you can't view names on the terms anymore. Pub 20 did away with that.

/salute

Its nice to see that you have developed a code of ethics for yourself instead of flying by the seat of your pants. Point 7 really isn't necessary, as the majority of the Jedi I know don't hold it against you when attacking them when they are vulnerable. Those that do are silly and deserve the /addignore. But if you choose to adhere to that portion of your code I salute you as a duelist
