The "have fun w/ duel' thread has inspired me.
I think that all MBH's should accept /duels with Jedi wether they have their missions or not.
If a Jedi is going to exploit like that he needs to be prepared to fight you right then and there just on principle. MBHs are almost always ready to fight so if some Jedi is dumb enough to offer himself up to you, take him down just for the sheer fun of it.
Kick their a$$ every time they do that and maybe they will think twice about it after they have been smacked around.
That teach em to stay in hiding where they belong..trying to /duel Bounty Hunters indeed!

Um, only 1 problem... all they have to do is /endduel. Do you honestly think their going to LET someone kill them if THEY have the option of ending the duel?

Hm..becareful what you wish for.. lol you may just be tricked into accepting a duel with a jedi, that is going to kick the crap out of you faster then you can type /endduel, and be missing some condition off your armor... door swings both ways, gotta remember that.

Ive done this, funny to watch at times. Just accept the duel then use a kd then end duel and usually thats enough to but a load of ore in their robes. I've also done this to BH's that talk smack then they /duel me. so the door can swing both ways.

They could always change how /duel works... the challenger can't /endduel.

Doesnt the person that accepts a challenge have just as much "responsibility" as the one that makes it? I dont see the logic in a challenger not being able to end and an accepter being able to. You should accept something you dont want just as much as you shouldnt challenge if you dont want to fight.

THis is based on the theory that there will be Jedi dumb enough to stand there and /duel you unbuffed or think they will use this as a means to get a leg up on you and avoid the encounter.
By all means if you see a full row of buffs on someone /dueling, you may want to think twice about accepting (but then again you can /endduel just as well as he can)
But it would be worth it just to knock them on their robed arse in public for exploiting even if you dont kill them. The shock value alone of someone accepting would like stun a good number of marks into confusion, enough for you to give them a few good licks. (behave unexpectedly)
Likely the JEdi who do that expect you to walk off and grumble quietly, not give them five across the lips.

I've never understood the /enduel command anyway..once you've tossed it out there you should be commited until one party is dead or BOTH parties /enduel..

I agree, you should only be able to end duel if both agree. You could still duel and it would be working as intended,it would fix the duel exploit.

Well there is that off chance with the timing that while you are pounding on them, the BH with the mission actually comes up and gets the kill while the Jedi's goofing around.

I set up a macro to accept the duel, use underhand shot and end the duel. Then it says "don't try that again Jedi scum" but the one problem is they have it as a macro /duel pause /endduel so I haven't been able to catch anyone yet.
