Thread: How do you name your droid??

I know this has been asked before .. but I can't seem to get the search engine to work. Anybody know?

You have to program it. So, generate the droid from deed or call from datapad. Target droid. Bring up radial menu. Choose Program tab. This will bring up the training/programming window. Double-click a command to program. Type /tellpet (or /tellp for short) [Droidname] [command]. You do not actually type the [ ] when issuing or training the command.Note: You can only use /tellpet to progam commands longer than one letter. I still haven't figured out all the naming rules for pets and droids, but numbers do not seem to work, nor do dashes, so no R2-D2 for you! Once you program 4 commands, the name of your droid should change to Droidname. If the name does not change, repeat with different Droidname, as the one you chose is invalid. Once you have named the droid, you can go back and retrain those commands without the Droidname in them.
