Thread: NPC mark not on waypoint and droid keeps returning the same one? ***Solution***
- The waypoint should always be updating on the same spot, but the mark shouldn't be there.
- The waypoint must be within the borders of an NPC city.
- The mark must be within the borders of the same NPC city.
Hope this helps!

Thank you ![]()
After seeing this pattern the last time it happened on Deeja Peak, and just right now when it happened the second time on Tyrena, I decided to list the waypoints.
I just went to Bestine to grab some waypoints, and doing the same for Deeja Peak now.
Very true.... However, when I get to the waypoint and can't 'find' my mark I just use /target {marks name} and I find him that way.

In Bestine, Deeja Peak and Tyrena, you can't find the target by tabbing (at least I couldn't) unless you run around for about 50 meters around the waypoint.
Targeting the name won't work neither in such a case, as the mark would be outside your range. If you find the mark by targeting, then you're lucky, as you're standing away towards the right direction from the waypoint.
And true, you can launch another seeker droid and just use identify, instead of track, but I know many people who already use like 3 seeker droids and get the same waypoint updated all the time ![]()
But I'll add this as a workaround in the main post.

The best thing to do is make a target macro. It is very simple to make and can look like this:
Macro: Target
/target <mark's name>;
/macro target
One thing to remember if you use this marco, if you use Bacta Toss Enhancers, the macro wont let you target yourself to use them. So you will need to do a /dump to stop the macro.
Just drive around on your speeder with the macro running and eventually the macro will pick up your mark. When BH required Master Scout, another good way to find them was pick up the Tracking line in Ranger. It worked alot better out in the wild and wasnt as effective in cities.

Don't you have to change the macro and instert the mark's name every time you do a BH mission, though? I'd think that would add even more time lost, considering one mission takes 10-15 minutes.
Takes me about 15 seconds to update my macro. Immediately after accepting my mission, I open my Datapad and my Actions windows, click on the Macros tab, highlight my Targeting macro, choose edit, highlight the BH mission on the datapad, input new name in macro, click OK for the macro, close all windows, run Targeting macro from toolbar. Then go get the bio-sig and hunt.
Ran two missions last night and had this issue on Dant and Dath
This is what I do.
I launch one seekerdroid and let it report until target is lost.
Then I launch another one and wait for that waypoint.
For these two mission, the second reported WP was correct and the one on Dath it tood about a min or two for the target to spawn.
I was using only tab to cycle through targets as my marks were both at SPs.
I will try the maco thing next time.
Good post and thanks.
