Thread: How to slice my weapon and what PUP to put on it?

Alright, im not sure weather to DMG slice this and pup a speed pup on it, do the opposite, or speed slice and pup it. Any help would be great, heres the stats-

it has ok speed, so I personally would damage slice it and speed pup it. That way, if the pup runs out in the middle of a battle, your still doing decent damage.

You don't indicate what prof you have with BH. If your a rifleman with rifleman speed mods then that can impact my choices here.


I would go the 8% damage/2% speed/3% critical slice approach. This should equal 100% customization. That 8% damage is needed to help bring your min damage up some from that 321. Then I would actually consider using a damage pup on top of that. The higher min will help the damage pup add more to the overall damage as well. The fact is, even at 82 SAC, if this thing gets too fast your action is going to drain too much anyway, so I would go damage and damage (slice and pup) in my opinion. Your modified speed should be low enough to keep this repectable, I am guessing in the 1.6 range....which is manageable at 82 SAC.


The other more radical approach could be to slice this thing 10% critical. All critical. If your only using this for jedi hunting then that critical can be pretty helpful. Then drop a damage pup on it or better yet, maybe consider a high accuracy pup? More people are using the accuracy pup particularly against m defenders who you miss a lot with.....you can get a +53 accuracy powerup with no hit to speed (it's like 1%....ends up +0.02 to speed) that can really help you hit more often. Combined with that increased critical hit.....could be a nice combination.


A lot of this depends on your full template and how you like to fight/battle. If your fights are normally over quick, one way or the other, then certainly going speed is beneficial.....if you or your bounty are dead before your action bar drains then who cares about SAC!! If your battles are long, drawn out affairs...then consider damage and/or accuracy in my book. Speed won't do you much good other than to drain your action too fast.


One side note. Consider the negative side of any pups you use. A speed pup looks great...but that negative to accuracy can be brutal against jedi with high defenses. I make a maxed out speed pup at -34.47 Attack Speed/-23 accuracy pup...which is about the beston my server. I still think -23 accuracy is too high. Damage pups are nice....but if your questionable on speed already that speed hit is really brutal then.......I make a +34.47 Damage mod/+7.95% attack speed.....which is not bad if your modified speed is so fast you need the slow down. An alternative might be to use what I call/make as a "balance damage" pup. It's +24.47% Damage Mod/+1.06% Attack Speed......this basically has no impact on your attack speed but still adds nearly 25% to your damage output...a nice pup.
