Who uses bomb droids whentaking ona mark - Jedi or NPC? If you use them, how do you use them? What are your tactics? Do you have a macro? I'd appreciate the details. I'm a new MBH who hasused droids inotherwaysand am now wondering how well they work for Bounty Hunters.

All insight is appreciated!

they're not much use vs NPC's becaus eoftheir high HAM, but they work well as an alpha strike on jedi

WOOT!

Bomb droids are more fun than a cow on laxatives.... Purely for "live" player targets....

Simply target your enemy

issue a follow my target command....

quickly target the droid and then /detonate droid about 5 secs from the target....

spam attacks...

Pre-CU I could get a pretty much instant incap with an R3 bomb droid...I haven't used em post CU

bomb droids are only effective, imo, in 2 ways... First one being that you use them in a crowded place, and your target does not notice the droid following, but ifthe targetdoes,it isquite easy to get out of the detonation radius, rendering the droid useless.

the second way, is if you have a swimmer, or an LOS exploiter, you can send your bomb droids after them.

What i do, is pull out my droid, /chase target, then i /det, then right after the timer hits one, i'll kd my target, to maximize damage (close to 2k dmg), and at the same time spam my highest dmg specials. I've incapped unprepared jedi in 2 shots, and i'm a pistoleer.

I hope you dont mind if i add some questions ive had about em... What is considered a powerful bomb droid in terms of det. power? ive seen R3's with 58 det power, and thats the best ive seen. If you use a bomb droid, its gone forever, right? Most of the vendors ive seen selling these things dont sell crates...

Good question! I've read that bomb droids can be effective both NPC and PvP. But, when you get to specific questions things seem to get quite. Maybe it's to keep attack information away from the hunted. I've read stuff on this forum postCU about the use of bomb droids. Wish I'd bookmarked them.
